Top 50 Sandwiches - Ranked by Scoresman (4 Viewers)

I ordered this yesterday at the Little Goat Diner, which is Stephanie Izard's casual cousin to The Girl and the Goat. I got it even though it said, "Sammie," which is so irritating.

Shrimp Sammie

seasoned shrimp, crab cream cheese, avocado, crispy onions, pickles, toasted hoagie

One of the best non-mainstream sandwiches I've ever had.
You had me at crab cream cheese.

The Girl and the Goat is legendary. Can't do the pickles on that but everything else sounds dreamy - how was the toasted hoagie bun? Was it closer to a toasted po boy with the thin shatter outside and soft inside or more of a toasted italian roll (this is important **** - lol)

More like what would be used on a po boy - soft inside and crusty out. I almost asked them where they got their bread, because it was so good.

Sounds great but did you have to use a fork to eat it?

It was extremely messy! But no fork. Just lots of napkins.

You had me at crab cream cheese.

Right?!

I think it was last week's MNF (or maybe TNF?) where they were highlighting some roast beef sandwich from a place in Hoboken, NJ... slathered in gravy or some kind of au jus and fresh mozzarella. Looked divine.

I saw that and thought the same thing!

I think this is it?
Oh my.
For real. It’d probably give me a coronary but what a way to go. Unfortunately I will likely never get to the NYC area for work. :(
