Trouble getting pregnant? (3 Viewers)

Going under the knife tomorrow AM. :crossesfingers:
GL. I'm having the swimmers tested for a second time next week, then it's off to shell out boatloads and boatloads on IVF next month.
if you ever have any questions about the whole IVF thing, my wife and I went through it twice. The second time was a success. I actually did part of my fantasy draft once on a cell phone at the fertility center while she was under anesthesia having eggs harvested.

Were they fine the first time around?BTW, just popped an oxycodone :lmao:
Well, apparently my description of the sampling was too salty for the FFA, despite use of language that would fly on prime time TV. Things were OK the first time, but it had been a while. Apparently they also test for more stuff right before IVF. Things turned out quite well this time. While they weren't the smartest or fastest swimmers, there were way more than enough to make up for it.How are the boys feeling today?

1st IVF status:

- 3 GREAT embryos in place

- the remaining 6 weren't good enough to be frozen

...we find out on Monday and I am SO nervous. Please pray for us. :lmao:

Hey, thank you for your interest. Ok, there were 3 or 4 ocassions. 1. I was lying on top of her and she masterbated me with just my boxers on. She had on her underwear and pants. i'm pretty sure all the sperm landed above her chest but you can never be too sure.2. I masterbated 3 hours before hanging out with her. totally forgot to wash my hands (i know, totally gross and i will NEVER do that again) and masterbated her. could the sperm live long enough for this to happen?3. we were making out and i rubbed my "boys" (i had an itch or was just trying to move them). i was wearing jeans and did this on top of my jeans, not inside them. and then 1 minute later i masterbated her (but she was wearing her jeans and panties and my fingers were on top of her jeans, not inside them. I'm afraid that pre-cum could have came out before i rubbed my jeans, then the cum went inside her when i masterbated her.thank you for listening and please get back to me. i'm very worried about this

I'm not exactly having trouble getting pregnant, but my wife is.We've been trying for almost a year, and nothing yet. We've had our first round of tests, which they make you get before you are able to get an appointment at the fertility clinic. Luckily my "little boys" are in fine shape, large in number, and are great swimmers -- likewise her hormone levels are "normal"Beyond this though, we don't know what's going on.Anyone have any thoughts they'd like to share? This is really tearing up my wife, and while it's not effecting me in the same way (really not that much at all), I am starting to get worried about her state of mind about the whole thing.
I hear where you're coming from. Exact same boat for me and my wife only we already have one and she's 35. She basically loses her mind when her period comes around these days. I play the emotionally supportive husband card, but secretly I'm loving all the action I get every month. ;) The only advice that's been given to me is "flip her over and #### her again". So that's what I do.
Sounds like great advice. :lmao:

Good luck, One.
glll to everyone
Thank you TF & Ivan. :)
Sorry I missed this. GL. We're currently targeted for Saturday, 9/6 to go in for the retrieval. Kudos to Angrywife's uterus for picking a Saturday where the Longhorns were both on the road and playing at night. I'd hate to have to do my part while on break from a tailgate party.

I have some great news.

After almost five years of infertility, I'm proud to announce that tests came back positive today. The results were as good as it gets.

My wife is 2 weeks pregnant.

 :goodposting:

Bentley,

I REALLY appreciate it. We will keep you and your wife in our prayers. IVF is truly a miracle procedure and I am SO glad we decided to go through with it.

Never lose faith, miracles do happen.

:fingerscrossed:

One ;)

That's friggin' awesome man. I'll update our progress later because today's your day. :lmao: :blackdot:

I just want to say thanks again to everybody.

Everybody earlier in the thread saying not to give up were right. We'd considered surrogates and adoptions in the distant future since they make great alternatives, but decided we were going for broke and trying as many IVFs as we could.

It feels great.

Now we're praying that the embryo(s) in place will grow healthy for the next few months. It's still early in the game. I've given my wife shots in the butt every morning at 7 am and it's finally all payed off. Poor thing.. her butt cheecks are always sore, but she's tough as nails.

I'm ecstatic. :goodposting:

well...ahh... i don't mean to be forward here but... ah.... you might want to consult the manual next time and perhaps you won't have such trouble procreating.

Will Joe give me a time-out if I put that in my sig?

 again.

Currently AngryWife has scads of little follices growing in preparation for the future bentley overlords. Plan is for retrieval on Sunday a.m. (shouldn't interfere with the 3:15 Dallas kickoff) and embryo transfer on the following Wednesday or Friday. That Dallas game will also signal the end of my awful two weeks of sympathy sobriety.

she will be groggy and in pain afterward. encourage her to "get some rest" so you can watch the game.

I take a calcium channel blocker to help control blood pressure. It is my understanding that this class of drugs was being investigated as a "male contraceptive" at one point in time.Just my experience. Been married for 17 years, no kids. :lmao:

That's awesome news! I hadn't seen this thread until now, but my wife and I also had to go the IVF route. Our son is now 19 months old and the best thing that ever happened to us. Good luck!

Thanks! We had our first regular ultrasound on Friday. It cost us $30. I had to check to make sure they hadn't left any zeroes off the bill.
