Not a gaffe, Raffensperger released the tapes to refute Trump's lies on Twitter. A Republican released the tapes, that is why we all know about it and why and investigation is proceeding. Not because of a Democratic witch hunt.

Except no one misspoke or got confused or said anything that wasn't meant to be heard. It was said with many people listening on both sides of the conversation and Raffensperger very intentionally released the tape. There were no mistakes.

But whatever helps you sleep at night.

well you call someone a SOB you probably want that hush hush after running an election on being good and kind and promising to treat people with respect ....... but everyone wrote it off as a gaffe, a hot mic moment so .... its old news, forgettabout it

That covers Biden's comment. Now do Trump--you claimed his phone call was a hot mic that he didn't want everyone to hear.  If it was "perfect" why didn't he want it heard?

its actually just comparing two old rich white Presidents and the things they've said .... you didn't vote for one and so the things he has said/did you want to hold under microscope and hammer him relentlessly (even though he's not president anymore) and rightfully you should ..... and the one you did vote for, give him a pass on all the racist things he's said, all the anti-women things he's done, call them gaffe's and hot mic's and seem to not hold him the same

I get it, I do .... but its a very obvious thing and I hope I'm not caught in that web myself too often

You are dug in deep, I'll give you that.  But to complain about Biden's behavior while excusing Trump for the last 6 years is laughable.

If you can't see it you can't see it I guess.

Comparing an off the cuff statement like the SOB comment and a phone call urging an AG to find votes to change the results of an election are not even remotely similar.  And comparing them is just flat out to derail the thread.  That isn't a discussion in good faith...its not an honest argument.  And you have to know this.

So just freaking stop.  You don't get it...you don't.  The very obvious thing is that there is a huge difference between the two statements.  So just stop.

no you're right - as with most people, I'm guilty too of giving Trump passes on things

why?  I wanted him to be better, to learn to be better ... he was incapable. I wanted him to lead this country into excellence and bad pressers or attitude i could overlook if he'd do that. Results can make you overlook things, right ? You will overlook things from a coach who wins 95% of the games you'd never let pass on a guy with a .250 winning %

but how much of Trump was generated by the anti-Trump press ? A great deal of it .... where as with Biden its what he says/does freshly right ? 

judge em both fairly - and if Trump broke laws/rules etc, absolutely grill his butt for it .... but headhunting we've seen for 5 years now, it's something Democrats can't let go of (anti-Trump hate)

Biden has boasted about his role in getting Shokin fired. During a 2018 speech at the Council on Foreign Relations, he said he withheld $1 billion in loan guarantees for Ukraine in order to force the government to address the problem with its top prosecutor.

"I looked at them and said: 'I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a #####. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time," he said.

Biden gets plenty of hate for screwing up a bunch of stuff.  And we hate Trump because we knew he was unfit.  And now we know just how dangerous he is.  If Trump would leave the national scene we'd be happy to never speak about him again other than in jokes and nervous laughter about what we narrowly avoided.

But Biden needs to go when his term is up if not sooner.  No disagreement there.  And the dems are screwing everything up too.

I remember that completely legal statement executing official US Foreign Policy and the desires of our government and that of our allies.

All of which has nothing to do with your current deflection or derailing...has nothing to do with the Trump call at the center of this topic either.

So yeah...I remember how it gets brought up at irrelevant times like this...just adding more to this being not being in good faith.

I was ok with the Vice President carrying out official US Policy aligned with our allies yes.  I would have been ok with Trump or Pence carrying out official US policy in coordination with our allies.  That isn't what Trump did with Ukraine...it isn't what he did with GA.  Once again, your comparison falls apart under any scrutiny.

Yes...both Trump and Biden have said racist things.  Which has zero to do with this topic yet again.  What other deflection will you move on to next?

This isn't a Biden thread.  Go ahead and discuss Biden there.  If Biden calls on an AG telling him to find votes...go ahead and post it in here.

Until then...your arguments are not in good faith and have absolutely nothing to do with the topic.  Its just flat out derailing things which you seem to do often.
