The problem is that these particular topics are not likely to alienate the average Trump-supporting veteran.

Yeah, that's probably the reason no billionaire has yet taken me up on my offer to run their SuperPAC. But I do think there's a message out there that would dampen their enthusiasm. Besides, it doesn't have to work on all of them, any more than Trump's messaging has to work on every African American. Best case, the impact is at the margins. But in a close race, that could make a difference.
