Updated: When does Randall Cobb become a must start WR again? (1 Viewer)

Trying to hang on in dynasty but have been offered Gio and Moncrief for West and Cobb.....don't feel it, would like to think my ARod to Cobb stack will return to money next year with Jordy's last couple seasons.
I guess I would entertain offers, but no way would I let Cobb go "on the cheap".

(and I'm not passing judgement on that offer)

I'm not saying I would personally value Cobb like I did coming into this season, but we all need to remember THIS IS THE PACKERS AND AARON RODGERS.

I don't see any way Cobb has completely lost it oddly in the course of two months.

It would take a good offer indeed to get me to part with him in dynasty. You still should get a number of strong seasons out of him, if he gets this fixed that is.

I think Cobb has been exposed for what he is this season. An excellent compliment to a true WR1.
I agree with that, but only partially.

I know he can't carry a team himself, or it at least seems that way.

But I have to believe this year is a bit of a fluke or an outlier.

He has had too many uncustomary drops, and I read somewhere where it is believed he is putting a bit of pressure on himself, and it may be leading to some of the lower production.

That may be a part of it, but I think most agree he should have been better than this.

I mentioned it elsewhere, or in another thread, it may even be in this one.

But if we all knew that Jordy Nelson would be gone for the year, Eddie Lacy would be terrible, and Davante Adams would miss time, then it would have been hard to argue with anyone wanting to draft Randall Cobb in the first round in drafts preseason.

One would have thought it would have been better than this just through sheer volume alone.

Safe to assume that Cobb will draw Peterson this week in Arizona?
Does it matter?

If you've made it this far playing him, then the rest of your team can carry you whether Cobb gives you 4-5 points or 2-3.

Yes it does

I haven't had to use him at all but since OBJ is suspended, Cobb is a guy on my bench that I have to consider playing

Nothing on the waiver wire? Cobb's ranked what, 75-100 among "flex" players... gotta be something worth scooping up. I was scooping Cobb off my shoes for weeks before I came to my senses.

So yes or no....Patrick Peterson will shadow cobb. If he is only playing on the outside Cobb is a viable play in the slot with Mathieu done.

Waiver wire isn't an option in this league. Waivers are closed when the playoffs start

"But...but...he's got the same amount of yards and receptions right now as he did at this time as last year" how'd that work out for ya? Lol

GB - Randall Cobb nearly invisible - Sun Dec 27, 11:36 PM

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb managed just three grabs for 15 yards on three targets in the Week 16 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Footballguys view: Cobb has been bitterly disappointing this year, just like the Packers offense. He'll be a WR2 choice next year, but if Jordy Nelson isn't the same, it's clearly going to hurt his value significantly.

Cobb is just a guy. I thought he would come on at some point but I couldnt be more wrong.

I will never have faith in the Packers without Jordy.
