Updated: When does Randall Cobb become a must start WR again? (1 Viewer)

Any Lions followers who can weigh in on how they will play Cobb this week?

Will Slay shadow Cobb, and if so, can he shut him down?

He was mostly on Cobb/Jones in the Lambeau game. Lawson held up pretty well on Adams (from memory 8-74-0 on 21 targets.) Safeties Glover Quinn & James Ihedigbo were both limited and Q for tomorrow.

Hmmm, check that. Slay had MOSTLY Jones Week 10, pitched a shutout. AR told him after the game "You're one of the best young corners in the league." They rolled double teams to Cobb.

Hoping, PRAYING, for a shootout. The targets have been there, just need to hang on to the #### ball! Also would help if the Packers offense could shift out of pre-season mode.

Playing Cobb, but NOT with a lot of confidence.

Really torn here because I have a couple RB options in Ingram and Rawls.

Probably will agonize about this decision right up until kickoff.

I assume it's the defensive match-ups holding you back on both of those RB's. That is a tough one.

My headache is Cobb vs John Brown vs Aiken... pretty sure I'm sticking with Cobb and hoping that this is the week the ball sticks to his hands.

My headache is Landry vs Cobb.

Landry is listed as questionable and Cobb goes tonight. If I stick with Landry and he can't go on Sunday I'm left with Moncrief.

Am I an idiot for thinking that GB might have revenge on their mind and finally play the first solid offensive game in awhile?

I think Cobb has solid game tonight, going to predict 7 for 85 and a score. Just can't start him over ARob as my WR3, but I have a good feeling about Cobb tonight.

Part of it is the matchups. But the risk is I choose Cobb and he puts up what has become a typical 5-50 line. I know I can get 10 points from either of those RBs with a guaranteed 15-25 touches, with some upside if they score a TD.

The Vegas total for the game in Lambeau was 48 with Green Bay favored at home by 11.5 points. Of course Detroit had been dreadful all season to that point and the Packers came in losers of 2 straight to Denver and Carolina.

As we all know, Detroit upset Green Bay which started a string of 3 straight wins which included stingy defensive performances. Green Bay has lost 2 of 3 with their win coming on the road against Minnesota where the offense, dare I say, looked pretty good with Rogers throwing for 2 TDs (one to Cobb).

Tonight's game opened with a total of 47 with Green Bay favored on the road by 3 points. That's not a low total and if Slay blanks Jones, as he did last time, that seems to indicate Cobb has a decent chance to score tonight.

Good stuff.

Actually, Cobb has a decent chance of scoring every week. Some bad drops and a bad whistle have erased at least 3 long TDs that I can recall.

I poked around on the 'net earlier. From what I can tell, Slay does not cover slot receivers, which makes me feel better about starting Cobb.

Also, just a gut feeling, I think it will be an indoor game with both teams unable to run and forced to air it out. Smells like a 27-24 kind of game.

I own the A-Rod to Cobb stack so I pay close attention.....this is true PLUS there have been at lest 3 more TDs that Rodgers missed him on. Certainly they are out of sorts as an offense, but there's also been a lot of bad luck this year. So far.

Randall Cobb in GB

Brett Perriman in KC

Alvin Harper in TB

who was the best #1 WR on a team from a 2-worded city?

So far yahoo has given me credit for that TD but I can't imagine that will stand.

ETA -- No it will count. Thank you Cobb!

I seem to recall the NFL recorded these plays as 0 yd rush TD. Am I mistaken or did this change?
It's not a Rushing TD. It's not a Receiving TD.

It's a Fumble Recovery TD.

And if your league is not specifically set up to include Fumble Recovery Touchdowns, then you're not going to get any points for it.

Been that way for years.

I have to admit, I'm so confused that people do not understand this.

On top of it, I'm in disbelief that people still dont understand the scoring in their league.

Word. :goodposting:

Trying to hang on in dynasty but have been offered Gio and Moncrief for West and Cobb.....don't feel it, would like to think my ARod to Cobb stack will return to money next year with Jordy's last couple seasons.
