Who does Pepi's game remind you of?
Size, movement, skills, types of goals -- who do you think his comps are?

I get the fox in the box piece, but he's a giant next to El Chich. What little I've seen is Chachi
It's his movement and spacial awareness, in the box and on diagonals- he seems good at getting just off the defenders shoulder and finding pockets of dangerous space. I'm clearly not comparing size or haircuts.I get the fox in the box piece, but he's a giant next to El Chich.
Need to see more headers and more glorious hair, but I see Olivier Giroud.Who does Pepi's game remind you of?

Harry Kane is kind of a crafty inside-the-box finisher, with a similar skill set, and build (talent levels today notwithstanding).Need to see more headers and more glorious hair, but I see Olivier Giroud.
FYPSteffen as the #1 is back in play now and is having Ream for Panama...

Ok, so I was going to put this down but didn't want to get laughed at.The highest of all high end comps is Lewandawski both physically (same size, narrow body type) and hopefully skill set wise (ability to find space in the box, finish with head, feet, etc).

Ricardo Pepi update
- #UCL Bundesliga club say they're willing to do "everything possible" to get Pepi
- Ajax talks still set to begin "imminently"
- Serie A club to lodge an opening bid in the coming days
giroud shines with his back to goal...haven't seen that as a strength from Pepi yet.Need to see more headers and more glorious hair, but I see Olivier Giroud.
Ooooh...hope so!The highest of all high end comps is Lewandawski both physically (same size, narrow body type) and hopefully skill set wise (ability to find space in the box, finish with head, feet, etc).
It's the hair that gives that glow. It'll grow.giroud shines with his back to goal...haven't seen that as a strength from Pepi yet.
see I have no self respect.Ok, so I was going to put this down but didn't want to get laughed at.
But.....yes.
I was afraid to say it out loud.If I click my heals and say "Please be Dortmund, please be Dortmund", can I will it to happen?
He's actually a tough comp. Today's CF seem to either be bigger physically (Haaland/Lukaku ish), smaller with a lower center of gravity, or similar body type, but more wingy how they like to play. I guess another one would be Firmino, but he's not as tall as Pepi. Maybe someone like Cavani though he seems like someone the play goes through more.Ooooh...hope so!
He's also like half a midfielder, maybe even more than a false #9.He's actually a tough comp. Yeah, definitely Kane and Lewa with a bit of Ronaldo and Messi mixed in as well. He's also like half a midfielder, maybe even more than a false #9.
Kane and Lewa were the first two I thought of in terms of dreamland guys with kind of similar overall packages.

I would add a little Busio to that list also.Yeah, definitely Kane and Lewa with a bit of Ronaldo and Messi mixed in as well.
Let's not get too carried away.I would add a little Busio to that list also.
the goal momentarily takes Venezia out of the relegation zone. And the goal came against a fellow team in the zone.
Looked just like Pepi there.
I think of him as using his wider body and strength.I think a decent Pepi comp might be someone like Huntelaar. He was above average, if not world class, at a lot of things. But his best ability was just that he was good at sniffing out chances. That's what I see in Pepi.
Pepi may not yet be done filling out his frame. He is lanky but he might add some muscle now that he is 18.I think of him as using his wider body and strength.
This is your doing, isn't it!Brian Sciaretta

U.S. National Team legends Carlos Bocanegra, Steve Cherundolo and Christie Pearce Rampone will be officially inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame tomorrow!
This is essentially Luís Suárez's game now. He's too slow to beat a defender and his ball skills have dwindled, but damn if he doesn't know where to be and how to finish.I think a decent Pepi comp might be someone like Huntelaar. Like a cross between Ann Hathaway and Chris Wondolowski. This is essentially Luís Suárez's game now. He's too slow to beat a defender and his ball skills have dwindled, but damn if he doesn't know where to be and how to finish.
Here is the goal. Kid has to be on cloud 9. What a start in Germany for him to be so trusted to play every minute of every game.Scally went the full 90 again and scored in a 3-1 win over Wolfsburg. He played on both sides of the field. I believe this was his first professional goal.

He solves so many problems with his ability to play both sides equally well.I won’t be surprised if not bringing in Scally is going to come back to bite us this window at some point.

Just so odd to not call him to at least integrate him this time for the reasons you state. He solves so many problems with his ability to play both sides equally well.
It would not shock me if he ends up being the #1 rb for the US before qualifying is done.
