USA soccer is still in the dark ages. We will never advance until our federation creates a philosophy and demands that it is coached from the top down.

And not the current regime. They need to blow it up. And start with Klinsmen and his bosses. Our skill level is still 20 years behind the rest of the world.

This analysis is a little too deep.... When push comes to shove...I just say "#### MEXICO!" (tambien, no offense CGRdrJoe)....PUTOS!

I HATE Klinsmann, but he has good ideas on the system we need. He's already made changes to age groups and development(SSG, not going 11v11 so young). He can stay on as director but eff him as coach. 

pay to play will always ahve a chokehold on the youth development too, I know a good handful of kids who could manipulate the ball better than half of the team on now, but they can't afford to travel 3 hours, pay for hotel and coaches fees so they quit. 

There's a lot holding us back 

 
Outplayed & not happy about it although I think the handball was BS (not intentional & not an unnatural position IMO). Need 3 points Tuesday in Chicago & I will be there doing my part. 

 
Continues our run of playing meh in games that matter.

JK can coach friendlies like no ones business though :)

I know the percentages suck when you lose the first game but these next two games should see us on a more level playing field.

The most disappointing for me was Colombia did not play that well.  We gave them way too much space in the back.  As soon as Pulisic started to press high, their quality out of the back dropped quickly.

I was really unhappy with all 3 starting midfielders today.  It makes you wonder whether this formation works against teams that try.

The subs came too late for me.  With the team was getting oleyed out of the stadium and down 2-0, you have to make quicker changes imo.   I actually expected a halftime change.  None of the halfbacks played well in the first half.

 
Of course it wasn't' a pick, being caught off guard ≠ pick

Why was Bradley so bad?  The US would've looked a lot better with Beckermann out there at DM.  Bradley's always had a good first touch, but tonight he was worse than Zardez in that respect, which is terrible for our play since he touches the ball so often.

I'm torn...when Bradley played for Chievo & Roma in Serie A, it seemed more was expected of him, & he produced.  I think for the NT, his role has never been clearly defined, so he's almost like a gypsy.   I've watched him play in Serie A & for the NT, & he has all the requisite skills & tactical acumen to shine in both theatres.  It is just so difficult for today's box-box MFs to excel, when critics want one or the other (off-def).  I just think Klinssman has not found the appropriate role for Bradley, & tries to shoehorn him into whatever formation he fancies that particular day.  Again, I don't follow the NT as much as I should, just my 2¢.
