I imagine Toney's drop elicited some volume.

i'd like to, though we are throwing around the idea of New Orleans
That sounded awful. People couldn't even check into their rooms due to the key card machines not working. But hey, they did give everyone a few free drinks .I’m staying at the MGM in two weekends for the raider game, thankfully it wasn’t this weekend because all their properties got hit with a cyber attack, if shut down their systems and slot machines
people that had checked in were having issues getting back into their rooms because their keys weren’t working. That and when the slots went down if you had money in there it wasn’t possible to cash out. That sounded awful. People couldn't even check into their rooms due to the key card machines not working. We were at Park Mgm friday-sunday. All systems went down at some point but only issue we noticed was we needed to get new key on Saturday and atms didn't work on Sunday.
Halloween is fun. Everything is more weird and people are crazier. Golden Tiki or Atomic Liquors are worth a visit if you can.Going to be out in Vegas at the end of October. Will be interesting to see how the city is during Halloween, Sema and a couple weeks before the big F1 race. Needless to say, I’m at that point where I’m excited and counting the days til I get there.
I wasn't but I had a friend who was one of those high stakes drafts. Was in the sportsbook/bar for the Sunday games there. Eataly a few times. Nomad Bar a few nights. Couldn't convince the group to go to Best Friend after the Sunday games. We were at Park Mgm friday-sunday. Were you doing an NFFC draft? I was there at Park MGM for most of that time.

I loved Circa. Was there for the Thursday and monday night games. Only $25 per seat for those nights and they gave you drink tickets so felt more like a free seat with a three drink minimum. For the Sunday games it was something $400 for one of those seats so we did the Park MGM sportsbook bar that day. Like you said the Park MGM place was just a regular sportsbar type feel with mediocre-ish food. Went to the Wynn for the Sunday night game and then Aria after that. Both great. Hit the hidden speak easy in Aria late night. We did Thursday night at Park MGM sports book / bar. Was good but more like a normal sports bar.
Sunday at Westgate that's the classic sportsbook.
What's your take on Circa?

Was it nonstop gambling/drinking/eating?We tried to do a long trip this time to mix it up. Usually it's just in and out in 48 hours. This time was Thursday to Tuesday. What we learned is Thursday to Tuesday was way too long. The body can only handle so much at our age. It was fun, for sure, but I feel like I've been though a war. Had Jets ml so ended on a good note.
I definitely chilled a few of the days. Took it easy. Picked my spots. Those places you mentioned just aren't for me. Would rather just hang by the pool or in the room. Was it nonstop gambling/drinking/eating?We tried to do a long trip this time to mix it up. Usually it's just in and out in 48 hours. My last trip to Vegas was about a week long and I wish it was even longer. But I wasn’t gambling a whole lot everyday. If you’re mixing in non-gambling stuff like Area15, taco scooter tour, Red Rock, etc…no such thing as too long in Vegas.

Would love to hear more about the draft Joe. Any competitors we might know in the high stakes streets, your partners and/or strategy going in, how you feel about your team. Might be a fun SP thread. I know "no one cares about your fantasy team" but you are the MAN here and it's not just any fantasy team. Food for thought.
Going to Vegas at the end of the month, to meet some friends and climb (they’re staying with family). My wife was planning to join us, but a scheduling glitch may prevent her from going.
I may still go, but was wondering about lodging for a single guy in Vegas. I‘m not interested in gambling or any of the usual Vegas debauchery, and prefer to be closer to Red Rock Canyon.
I was thinking Summerlin, possibly Red Rock Resort, but am open to other recommendations. Any insight, @offdee?
This is literally why I walk six days a week at home, for these five nights twice a year. In all honesty, though, this is likely my last stay in this funky 1941 hotel room without elevator access. What we learned is Thursday to Tuesday was way too long. The body can only handle so much at our age.

I'm staying satuday - tuesday and even 3 nights/4 days is pushing it. El Cortez. There are 47 "Original" rooms above the casino, up a looong flight of stairs. I have a video, I'll link it later, but it's obviously not everyone's cup of tea. This is literally why I walk six days a week at home, for these five nights twice a year. Is there a reason why you stay in the original 47 rooms? I’ve stayed at the El Cortez a few times. Their regular rooms are “meh” at best, but they are affordable and have elevator access. I’ve stayed at their Cabana suites located across the street and those are decently nice. They look to be converted apartments and have a retro theme. They also have elevators.El Cortez. They spent 3million like a year ago renovating these 47 rooms.Thanks. Would like to see it and hear more about it. Is it more one of the newer cool spots like The Modern in Boise that's an old place made fun and nice or is it more legit just old?
I like different. Some of them have a lot of extra room. Some used to have screened-in porches that have been enclosed. Mine has a story, which will have to wait until after work.Is there a reason why you stay in the original 47 rooms? I’ve stayed at the El Cortez a few times. I was at Park Mgm for 3 days and only thing I noticed was my room key didn't work one day and had to get a new one. Saw Sunday night at Aria atms weren't working but hadn't depleted my wad yet.I’d be so mad if I was in Vegas this past week and staying at an MGM property (or in AC at the Borgata). Sounds like such a mess. How do companies like MGM and Caesars (who allegedly paid a ransom) not have better controls in place to prevent this? I can understand some small school district getting hacked and held for ransom but come on. /rant over

I only played sparingly on slots but didn't notice an issue where I was. Not sure about rating players.Did you play any slots? I also heard they had a hard time with rating players while at table games. True?
I’m curious to hear about the story about your room when you have time. So I’m guessing that you actually are able to request a particular room number? If so, that’s pretty cool.I like different. BTW, the ones across the street were formerly known as the Ogden Suites, and they were pretty grim. Sharon Stone's death scene in Casino was filmed there.
Great for gamblers too. 3/2 blackjack everywhere instead of that 6/5 BS and 2 green on roulette vs the new 3 BSI love Circa. It’s now one of my favorite places to stay. Next time I’ll skip the stadium swim view room. My windows vibrated rhythmically most of the night bc of the the massive bass coming out of its PA system.
ETA: Big fan of Garage Mahal too
That is the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a long time.green on roulette vs the new 3 BS
Depends what kind of atmosphere you are looking for. Elegant- SW or Mayfair Supper Club. Fun- Hells Kitchen, Beauty & Essex. Could rattle off 50 moreHeaded to Vegas for the chiefs game at the end of November. Anyone have thoughts on a killer restaurant?
