I'd like to get a list going here.

One thing I really noticed this week, was that all of my pitchers going in games delayed or suspended by rain sucked ###.

Gallaraga, Hughes, Oswalt, Johnson.

Of course it did not seem to affect their opponents as much.

But it seems to me that more than any other position, an SP gets geared up for his start. And to warmup and be ready, then ait and need to warmup again during the rain, or do it again the next day- seems to really ahve a negative impact ontheir start.

Is my sample size too small?

Buehrle didn't seem to have a problem with it

Playing day games after night games seems to result in a lot of 0-fer's for older players.

The last game on a long road trip also seems to affect players.

Good point on the night then day sequence. A lot of times they'll just give the old and/or established guy the second day off. It happens most often on a Sat/Sun, so that's a good time to pay attention. I think Pujols got a day off last Sunday in this scenario and left a big hole in my lineup.

Pitchers sit when the visit COL
Tell that to Ricky Nolasco and Josh JohnsonNolasco just had his best outing of the year there last night and Johnson looks like he was lights out tonight.
Did you start Nolasco?
Of course not. The decision was based on recent performance and not where he was pitching.

An ERA over 7(now 6.63) will do that.

Colorado is only really bad for curveball/slider pitchers. Power fast ball pitchers are not as affected by the altitude

New Yankee stadium is intriguing but in general I would sit most pitchers headed there and ALL pitchers headed to Arlington.

When the weather warms up later in the summer, Philadelphia and Cincinnati are problematic
