Warren Sapp- Boy doesn't tip (1 Viewer)

I can't stand being called "boss" by a food service worker, but that doesn't keep me from tipping if he does his job well.

Events like this at least shine a light on it.
Events like this give you the opportunity to reinforce your stereotypes. I don't put any faith in a story about a celebrity being an #######.

Could he have been awful? Sure. Is there a chance the waitress was way out of line? Sure. I think both are plausible.
I saw several eye witnesses on the TV report I viewed. Their stories all seemed to agree. Are you saying there's a big Warren Sapp conspiracy going on out there?

There was a TV news report on this story with several eye witnesses? God help us all.

Warren Sapp wasn't offended by this waitress saying boys, he simply wanted an excuse to be a cheap *******.

Boys and boy might only have one letter difference but they are miles apart in terms of meaning

Really? That might be one of the worst postings ever

Everything I read about Sapp makes it seem like he's a huge #######.

Having said that, Black men generally don't like being called "Boy". If the server didn't know, that she knows it now. a $9-12 tip stiffing is not the worst way to learn this lesson.
Please be joking
Not joking. and I'm not defending Sapp, I generally think he's an ###. and I don't doubt that she probably meant nothing by what she said.

I also doubt she'll call another group of men boys next time.

You place more faith in the media than I do. Which story makes headlines?

1. Ex-NFL talent receives rude service.

2. Ex-NFL talent stiffs waitress.

Stuff like this just stinks of media attempting to create news. Again, I think its totally plausible that Sapp was an #######, but I'm not going to trash a celebrity based on a similar story. If you think you know exactly what happened and are ready to pass judgment based on similar reports I think you're too easily manipulated. I think you should have a higher standard. That's fascinating to me. People allowing journalists to disarm their BS-detectors.

What stereotypes? That there is anecdotal evidence that suggests warren sapp is an #######?

Your point would have more validity if he had written "$0 - poor service." But that isn't what he wrote; he wrote something taking issue with how he was addressed, saving his critique of her service for later.

Why do you keep pointing to the media? The witnesses weren't media, they were patrons of the establishment. If you choose not to believe eye witnesses, that's fine. But dismissing them because they appeared in a media event (which I don't know how you think they'd appear otherwise) seems fairly small-minded.

I do not understand who this guy has pictures on at the NFLN. I put on NFL AM.... there he is. I'm watching Training Camp Primetime right now.... there he is. How can they possibly think this guy is likable? I don't give a #### what he has to say (ALWAYS at the top of his voice, BTW). Wish he'd crawl away and get hit by a bus.

Michael Irvin is one of their lead analysts. In other words, they don't set the bar very high when it comes to ex-players and analysis.

Take a shot every time he's in the background screaming "HELL-OOOO!" like a mental patient when someone else is trying to make a point.

:lmao:

So terrible.

She calls women "ladies". She could use "gentlemen" in this case, and avoid getting stiffed on the tip. Of course, she's a waitress, so she's supposed to be dumb.

I'd assume it wouldn't matter what she called him.

Really?

Look he's a gigantic ####head but I imagine that guy goes out to eat 1-2 times a day. Being as famous as he is, if he never tipped I suppose we would have heard about it a few hundred times by now.

I wouldn't mind seeing him dead as well.

What if you could only eliminate him or Jared from Subway?

I have to admit that responses to this sort of story always fascinate me.

How can any of you pass judgment and pick a side without having actually been there? IMO journalistic integrity is ####. It seems that most journalism yellow (perhaps just my perception). Writers are trying to incite outrage and get you emotionally charged. I can't help but think people fill in the blanks and missing information with their own prejudices.

Is this more proof that the hardest three words for anyone to say is "I don't know".
I'm going to leave your words on the board for all my classes to see, giving you full credit of course.

Sapp. I'll take pleasure in one day seeing Jared get fat and fall over of a heart attack.

And don't even get me started on Jamie Dukes.

I don't get why Sirius NFL can find former NFL players with half a brain (Ross Tucker / Booger McFarland / Amani Toomer) to put on the air in the morning but NFL AM can't.

Bill, Dukes has been on my dart board over the years also, but to his credit he has really toned down the clown show recently.

This works too!

PHOENIX (AP) — Former NFL lineman and Hall of Famer Warren Sapp was arrested Monday on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute and allegedly assaulting two women, Phoenix police said.Hours later, the NFL Network announced that it had terminated its contract with Sapp, who had worked as an analyst for the network since 2008 and was in Arizona for Sunday's Super Bowl in suburban Glendale.

Sapp, 42, was taken into custody at a downtown Phoenix hotel and booked into jail, police said.
The nightmare is over.

I'll take fired and in jail as a consolation prize.

I won't celebrate this only because I need all the good karma I can get. Isn't he hard up for money?

Looks like those near Atlantic City may be able to meet him in his new greeter position at one of the mid-tier casinos there.
