Washington WR's in 2010 (1 Viewer)

Cooley and Davis will get lots of attention, but which WR will benefit the most?

Santana Moss? I don't think so. I expect average numbers from him.

Devin Thomas? He is being projected as a possible sleeper by a number of outlets. Decent size, good speed.

Malcom Kelly? Shannahan's next Brandon Marshall? big target, but not the fastest.

I was wondering what FBG's thought about how this might pan out. Both Thomas and Kelly were 2nd round picks and are entering their 3rd year. Will it be a matter of who is healthy? Or is this going to be a big year for Santana?

Santana Moss may be missing some games if he's suspended for HGH use. Kelly and Thomas will be on the field a lot. Honestly, I think the Redskins' 2 best receivers are their TE's --- Chris Cooley and Fred Davis. And with their weakness on the offensive line last year I'd guess McNabb may be looking to his TE's a lot as safety valves.

good analysis. The other possibility is that the RB (whoever wins the starting role) may get losts of screen passes as a checkdown receiver as well.

Just to clarify, McNabb has never had 4,000 yards in a season, and he's only topped 3,800 twice, so I don't think you can assume there will be tons of yards to go around. Although McNabb is more talented than Campbell, I wouldn't assume that he'll pass for more than the 3,618 that Campbell had last year. More than likely, McNabb will spread the ball around a lot, with Cooley and Davis getting a big share, and one of Thomas or Kelly stepping forward but not having anything more than high-end WR4 or low-end WR3 value.

That is tough to say. different personell, different coach, and slightly different system.there are too many factors to predict with any kind of accuracy until we see some preseason games and how all the pieces fit together.
