Weird Food Combinations You Like (1 Viewer)

Your standard lunchmeat sandwich w/ mayo/mustard....and kimchi between the meat and top slice — the kimchi adds a perfect amount of zing.

Fresh Bartlett pears with cream cheese.
Cut pear in half, hollow out the core, jam the core full of cream cheese.

Ketchup and butter sandwiches. Had them at Gramma's house after preschool (around the corner) way back in the day. Still make it from time to time for a quick snack.

My dad used to eat these. He called them blood sandwiches which was a better name than they deserved

Never heard of these. What part of the country was this?
My part of the country is the Buffalo/Western NY Region. Go Bills!

as a kid, I ate celery with peanut butter AND blue cheese dressing on it at same time.
Now we're talking. I have a theory that peanut butter goes with everything. Or almost everything. No, everything.
While I've switched to almond butter, I will say that I've enjoyed peanut butter combined with many things.

However I vaguely remember trying a peanut butter and cheese whizz sandwich years ago. This combo didn't work out well for me.

Peanut butter and cheddar cheese sammiches. Straight fire.

Edited to add a story about my kid's first F bomb:
Kid is 3 and my wife and I are making lunch while he sits at the counter. I ask him what kind of sandwich he wants and list a few options, PBJ, PB+Honey, PB+Banana, or PB+Cheese.

KanilJr: Are you ****ing kidding me?
Mrs. Kanil: What did you say?
KanilJr: *Believing she just didnt hear him right, as is common with 3 year olds, repeats slower AND louder* ARE, YOU, ****ING, KIDDING, ME?
I lost it and had to leave the room before he saw me laughing and decided that was a thing to repeat.
Mrs. Kanil had to explain to KanilJr why that was a bad word and then to Kanil that he needs to stop saying that around KanilJr.

I blame the cheese whizz

I believe that Philly cream cheese is the perfect food. It goes with most anything- sweet or savory.

I love it in celery with a touch of salt and pepper.

Banana and mayonnaise sandwich. As a kid I used to love peanut butter and banana, and one day we were out of peanut butter so I tried mayo instead. I love em.
Ok, now that's weird

It's pretty common in the South. Not sure in other places.

The most common is probably all three - Banana, Peanut Butter and Mayonnaise. Delicious. Dukes Mayonnaise of course.
