I DVRed 2/3 of the first half and for some reason it stopped taping. But I will write out points that I saw form that and from remembering watching the entire game in real time.
The Bears run blocking wasn't as good because the Lions D line is that good. I didn't think they would be that good to be honest, but they proved me wrong. Suh is a beast and KVB has great hustle....he just wants to get to the ball all the time. Including hustling downfield to hit a ball carrier.
Devin Aromashodu dropped a TD in the end zone. However, he has shown from last season and through game 1 that he can make plays after the catch. I almost feel that he has the most potential moving forward, but I will reserve the right to make that claim after a few more games.
Back to the Lions DLine...Suh dominated Frank Omiyale on 3rd and goal from the 1 in the first quarter...the leverage and power is great from Suh.
I still think Cutler completes that pass to Knox(On cutler's only INT). Peterson made a great play by getting his hand on it. But the saftey was too far outside to make a play on it and it was at the perfect distance on 3rd and 20. Maybe he forced it....but looking back on it...not as bad as many viewed it.
Pisa Tinoisamoa is going to add such a huge spark to the defense this season. He is very underrated sticking his nose in the backfield to make plays too.
Jahvid Best has poor power...he went down on first contact almost every time.
Nate Burleson disappointed me. He dropped passed and didn't show up as much as I thought he would.
Stafford has a very strong arm, he threw a great out pattern on a line....however, how strong will it be post injury? Hopefully just the same.
Cutler showed great mobility. Not only to avoid pressure to buy more time, but gained yards on the ground.
Those sleeping on Matt Forte will be disappointed. He is quicker, faster, and more agile than last season.
