Gonna start with Temporal Purgatory before taking it up a notch after dinner with Enigma and Cone Crusher. The BA stuff and the rest of my NE stash will be tomorrow when I'm hanging with my brother.
Percent description of Nib Smuggler. I call it chocolate milk beer.Managed to snag bottles of Funky Buddha Last Buffalo in Park and Prairie Artisan Noir Stout. Have not opened them yet.
Had some Nib Smuggler on tap last night. Like high octane yoohoo.
Thought it was good but really sweet. Hipster was better.Santa's Cookies and Milk from Hailstorm. Awesome, not quite as good as hipster but still very good.
All Transient beers are really good. Wish it was closer to me.Transient Artisan Ales in Bridgman too from what I hear. A few guys in my local FB beer group are huge fans. I've been meaning to get up there and check it out.

Pics? How'd you do it? Making Chicago style deep dish. Dough rising now, will punch down and let re-rise around 3 then make the pies around 4:30 burnt cheese crusts. Doing 1 Veggie, 1 Italian Beef and Giardiniera and 2 pepperoni and sausage (maybe 1 with onion). The smell coming out of my oven from the garlic-herb butter slathered rib roast is literally making me drool...
Going with the "perfect method" from the video in the prime rib thread:Pics? How'd you do it? Making Chicago style deep dish. I added garlic to the herb butter in the video, and have a 5 bone 9.18 pound 30 day dry-aged prime roast that I ordered from my butcher (don't ask what I paid LOL).
I did use both of my digital probe thermometers (one in the roast, one to keep track of oven temp) just to make sure I don't eff up such a ridiculous piece of meat.
We started a new Christmas Eve tradition last year, movie and make your own pizza. Anyone who wants to come over can come over and we watch Christmas movies, eat pizza and drink. Last year was Christmas vacation and Christmas Story. This year I have developed my pizza game and it's so easy if you have a Kitchen Aid mixmaster. I make my own sauce using san marzano tomatoes too, really freaking easy as well. Make them in 12" 2" high aluminum pans, would have preferred a steel pan but they aren't easy to find and the aluminum works just as well. That sounds freaking awesome!
Dead on LOL. Also dry-brined last night, to be completely specific.Guessing 29/lb?

i live 5 minutes from there, right across from Tapistry Brewery. Certainly not scenic but they make incredible beers. They are only open weekends, but you can buy it at Sawyer Garden Center, located behind Greenbush Brewery.Transient Artisan Ales in Bridgman too from what I hear. Bridgman is probably about an hour for me -- really need to get up there to check it out. Heard there was a HUGE line for their can release last week; the word is getting out.i live 5 minutes from there, right across from Tapistry Brewery. Haymarket will open on 1/12 in Bridgman also from what I'm hearing.
yes, drove thru town and there were about 75 people waiting to get in. I think the owner works in chicago, this is more a hobby for him. He's at the point to decide if he wants to grow the business or keep it as a hobby.Bridgman is probably about an hour for me -- really need to get up there to check it out. Did you drive out there or trade for it?Toppling Goliath Twisted Galaxy
I haven't traded in a long time and I've only traded with people here. I tried other places but it was such a hassle with people trying to win the trade so I just gave up.Did you drive out there or trade for it?
That's awesome, when I was out that way no one had any TG anywhere in eastern and central Iowa.I haven't traded in a long time and I've only traded with people here. I tried other places but it was such a hassle with people trying to win the trade so I just gave up.
For these, I was in Galena with the wife and drove over to Dubuque before leaving. They had a ton of it. I was really surprised that they had some of the bombers, especially Sosus.
Twisted Galaxy was awesome.
I was pleasantly surprised. Dropped $100 at 10:30am at Hyvee and kind of felt weird doing it until I saw half of the other people in line had beer too. I guess that's how you survive Iowa. That's awesome, when I was out that way no one had any TG anywhere in eastern and central Iowa.
Happy birthday GB!I was pleasantly surprised. Dropped $100 at 10:30am at Hyvee and kind of felt weird doing it until I saw half of the other people in line had beer too. I guess that's how you survive Iowa.
Wish I bought more. Oh well.
Yesterday was my birthday and spent it cleaning and putting a doll house together. I've decided to defer it to today. 50 degrees. Feels like a good day for day drinking.

You will enjoy - buy the limit if there is one. If he has any Thai IPA get that too...My go to local guy just got in some Bare Hands -- hype has been building for a while and I've heard very good things, but Granger is out of the way enough, and distro has been limited enough, that I haven't had anything from them yet. Going to go grab some Honey Badger and some Westy over lunch, will report back.
Ended up with the last 4 pack each of Westy and Thai PA -- the Honey Badger was evidently gone immediately (only had 4 x 4). Excited to try these -- Bare Hands has been on my wish list for a while. You will enjoy - buy the limit if there is one. If he has any Thai IPA get that too...
I live close to Bare Hands and the place is always packed (albeit it is a small place tucked away in the corner of a cul de sac). Word is that they are expanding to a new facility in South Bend but will keep the Granger location for a tasting room and local establishment.
Thanks for the heads up, but I'm with you. Nope.Didn't get the day drinking going at all, installed a dishwasher instead. Starting now with a Lexical Gap.
Also walked past about a case of BCBS "Rare" at Binny's in Mokena in case anyone is interested. I think they were about $70 which is not something I want to spend on one beer. Just an FYI for those who would.
