What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

Man, I knew NEIPA's have a short shelf-life, but the Tree House beers I bought back on 6/14 have really fallen off for me. I guess that's about right from my own experience and what I've heard, but they're usually still almost the same 2-3 months later. It's been right around 7-8 weeks from the canning of most of these and they've just completely lost their unique characteristics and flavor. Don't get me wrong, they're still enjoyable but I'm definitely going to be more careful next time with the allotment I choose to bring home. What else is odd is that I've found some of them to be at their best after waiting 1-2 weeks from canning, so does that mean the "peak" of these beers has a 1-month window? Yikes...

as a porter / stout fan, I'll be lightning things up tonight with Old Brown Dog - my favorite Smuttynose brew.

Great flavor, no hop bite, easy to drink several. 6.25 and 29.5 ibu

Went to the Bears’ training camp where we got to see multiple interceptions thrown by Trubisky.  Afterwards we went to Brickstone and had a few before going over to the production facility. There we had a few of their canned yesterday citra IPAs, Permanent Vacation, which are really good. It was nice talking with the head brewer/owner too. Oh, and getting a sixer of Permanent Vacation to go for free was nice.

I used to be pretty regular in this thread but gave up beer among other things for no particular reason. Anyway, I was just in my regular grocery store when they got their first deliver of Belching Beaver. I love that brewery. While there were few summery selections the Mexican Chocolate Peanut Butter Milk Stout with a born on date of 7-26 just had to come home with me. It's such a thrill at the moment. This is my first beer of 2018.

:banned: :excited:

Up in Warrens, WI...which is in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, bought a bunch of WI beers: Moon Man, Strawberry Rhubarb, and some other locals. Should be a good few days...

Drank some M43 and a crap ton of All Day IPA this weekend. The All Day really lives up to it's name, I drank about 10 in one sitting and all it did was fill me up. Lol

At Leaven Brewery about 4 miles from my house drinking a Requested Berliner aka raspberry sour.  I like it.  Great place.

so much beer this weekend  :drubk:

that 2010 Surly Darkness may have been the best one of the bunch but there were some solid contenders mixed in

Having a Tilted Barn Violet and one of their experimental DIPA. Both are top notch, every bit as good as what Tree House has to offer IMO.

They make some of the best meads I have ever had.  They use boiled peanut water to infuse the PB in it.

First beer in a month right now, Guayabera.  Then heading up to my local brewery for the tapping of this years Oktoberfest and do my FFL draft from the bar.  Speaking of Oktoberfest, heading over there in about a month.  Any particular tents to hit?  I'm a big fan of Kulmbacher Marzen but I don't think they will be there.

Nice.  I prefer cellar temp on those though
I could go either way, but I usually chill for a few hours before opening.  Personal preference.  I don't have air conditioning in my house so "cellar temp" isn't exactly a "cellar" temp, if you will.  Worth chilling for a little bit, for me.

Too bad

Great, it will be perfect for a quick in  and out. Too bad you have a wedding, I live right there in the city. It's a fun little town with a great walkable downtown full of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and parks.
I miss Penn Grill (or Yoga Pants Grill as i would call it)

Well it's not night time, but I just got home from work.  So my night time.  I'm getting sick of buying pricey 4 and 6 packs.  Drinking some Southern Tier 2XIPA.  $11 for 8.2% isnt bad.  Been drinking a lot of Two Hearted and Truth lately too.
