What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

Revolution Very Mad Cow Stout. Bourbon barrel aged milk stout. Very good, but the milk stout sweetness is lost amongst the bourbon.

Had a bunch of stuff over Thanksgiving weekend, Parabola, Helldorado, Abyss, Farmer's Reserve Citrus but the highlight for me was Mud & Funk by Brouwerij De Molen a Russian Imperial aged in Bourbon and Wine Barrels tons of sour in it - loved it.

3 beer night at dinner tonight , excellent taps

Pure Hoppiness -Alpine - 1st time seeing an alpine on tap around here , excellent , didn't disappoint

Lunch-MBC- don't see this on tap much around here . New what I was getting

Silk-Idle Hands- a red ipa , their 4th anniversary special brew. Big fan

Stoneface IPA - VERY solid IPA from New Hampshire.

Now working on a growler of Hill Farmstead Abner DIPA. I can't say life sucks.

living in Chicago used to be great for buying BCS...now it's the worst place to be.
You mean you couldn't just go to the grocery store this AM and pick up a few bottles? We have the same problem with KBS here in Michigan.
people have been in line most places since early this morning. The waiting and chasing game (for the outliers) is just in the cards for me anymore. I did stop at my neighborhood place on the way home after a half day. The opened at noon and I got there at 12:45. They only had the regular stuff, so I got two of them.

Years ago, there was no wait.
BCS used to be on the shelves in Buffalo for months.

This year there were lines outside of the handful of big retailers that had advertised it, lines around the block in the early morning.

Word got out that the local Wegmans stores had a small number of cases each, 2 bottle max, so people started bailing on the lines and chasing to every Wegmans in the area to clean em out.

I live 5 minutes from one, I stopped in around 10:30 AM and was told that they never got a shipment. I've been done with the chase for years. Just don't have the desire. Too many good beers on the shelf at reasonable prices to chase, IMO.

Bought 18 12-packs of Celebration and 7 24-packs of Flying Bison Aviator Red for my wedding this past weekend. That's pretty much all I've had in the last few days.

I have 6 Celebration 12-packs and 2 cases of Aviator Red leftover. Time to give out some gifts.

Just got

Triple C up all night breakfast porter

Evil Twin Christmas eve at a new york city hotel room stout

Stone xocoveza stout

I had some great beers over the Thanksgiving holidays while visiting some family down in Florida:

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout (I was able to pick up an entire case from a liquor store in Florida that didn't even know what it was)

Goose Island Bourbon County Barleywine

Fremont Bourbon Barrel-aged Dark Star imperial oatmeal stout

Crooked Stave Mama Bear's Sour Cherry Pie sour ale with cherries

Cigar City Jai Alai IPA

Terrapin Wake-n-Bake coffee oatmeal imperial stout (2014 & 2015)

Terrapin/Cigar City Vapricot IPA infused with apricots and ginger

Funky Buddha Hop Gun IPA

Funky Buddha Passionfruit Crusher IPA with passionfruit

Prairie Christmas Bomb! imperial stout with coffee, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, chili peppers, and spices

Grayton Beer Salt of the Gulf gose made with seawater from the Gulf of Mexico

Stone Xocoveza imperial milk stout with cocoa, coffee, pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg

I love Terrapin's Wake-n-Bake, and I always go out of my way to get some each year because it is not distributed to Colorado. It is probably one of my favorite coffee imperial stouts in the country, as I really enjoy its bold, upfront coffee character. If you like coffee-forward beers, I would definitely recommend it.

I found a few 2014 Wake-n-Bakes in the back of my dad's fridge from the last time I visited my dad in Florida (he's more of a canned macrolager on the beach-type of guy). I think I preferred the fresh 2015 edition though because the coffee character in the 2014 had dropped off quite a bit over the past year.

Local store near the office didn't get their shipment until yesterday. We walked there at lunch and the guy working said it would be closer to 2pm when it arrived. We are rewards members there and that was the only way to get the varietals. We went back at 1:45 and there was already a line in the store of about 10 to 12 people....great! We wait 15, 30, 45 minutes. I put in a full hour, but had to get back to the office. Thanks for nothing!!! One co-worker stayed said the truck arrived about 30 minutes after we left. The store got one case each of the varietals and the guy took out 4 each for the owners of the store. First 8 people in line got all the varietals....so ####### glad I didn't stay for that bull####.

#### this.

Sick as hell all week...drinking a Wiregrass Pre-prohibition Pale Ale by Cigar City. My palate is a bit off from the crud that has been kicking my butt, but I think it's pretty decent. Canned 10/9, I wish I had tried this fresher.

Congrats and that's awesome.

I'm drinking Henry's Irish Ale by the Publican House, a local brewer in town. Love this beer, has the colour of an Irish red but richer taste I associate with darker brown ales.

Prairie Hop

Prairie Brett C.

Prairie Somewhere

Cracked my 3rs to last bottle of '14 Boulevard Saison-Brett (the Brett is effing singing in this right now -- perfect, crack these NOW if you've got em cellared)

Yeah, I'm drunk. Getting ready to watch the Big 10 Championship while my wife and the girls decorate the tree that I somehow managed to set up.

Eyeing a 2014 Boulevard BBQ despite the fact thT it would almost certainly be a big ### mistake this early on...

Trader Joe's bourbon with a couple splashes of OJ and lemonade. Since it feels like summer in SoCal and I really need a fast buzz.... :oldunsure:

8th annual Buffalo cask weekend. One of my favorite beer weekends of the year....for some reason, people don't come out for it. The hype on beer releases is ridiculous but a cask weekend comes and goes with little fanfare.

Great Lakes Commodore Perry IPA w/coffee

Community Beer Works Adambier (there's a style you don't see often)

Flying Bison Double Dry Hopped Black IPA w/Mosaic

Thirsty Dog Citra Dog IPA

Oskar Blues Oak Barrel Ten Fidy

Resurgence Bier de Noel

Roc Brewing Moo Shake Stout

Been finishing the evening with some football and boxing and dipping into a growler of Community Beer Works Snow. Their late fall/early winter annual imperial stout release....only shows up for a week or two every year, happy to get a growler of it. Very dry, heavy, dark dark chocolate, bitter cocoa.
