Not 80s, but IMO they're both phenomenal beers -- BCBS-level -- but I personally prefer CBS. Only have had it once, so maybe that's the "rare" talking LOL.

Angry Chair Vassago Raspberry Berliner. Wow. This beer is on de Garde fruited bu level IMO. Crazy color, it looks like a raspberry smoothie. Tart and bursting with fresh raspberries, with a creamy yet dry, astringent mouthfeel. Home run.

Yeah SD is amazing but Grand Rapids is Beer City. It's been voted that online in some polls and the city has ran with it. It's definitely their moniker, deserved or not.

Bombers blow for a several reasons -- but unfortunately so many great beers are available in that format only, so what can you do? And yeah, surprising about Hopslam. But they can get away with it -- even w/ $20 sixers it's gone FAST. Would probably be a very different story if it were a year-round beer vs a once / year release though.

OK, tried this last night. I echo what taskers and my beer guy said. A good stout but not an OMG stout by any stretch of the imagination, although I do love the bottle label

It reminded me alot of a great lakes blackout stout.

Although I have never had a BCBS and really want to try 1 I know I will be getting the better part of the deal, but if it's something you really want I will be getting that on Thursday.

To me sexual chocolate is not in the big bad Baptist,espresso oak aged yeti category.

I had a local olde hickory event horizon and lindley park and enjoyed them more than the sexual chocolate.
