EB Unfiltered is amazing. Stone kills it with the ability to get that beer mass produced and distributed so fresh. We haven't gotten unfiltered yet as far as I know, although it was rumored to come to IL this time around.
I will drown my sorrows with an Oracle.
Shorts Psychedelic Cat Grass reach there? It was a bit of a war zone in Michigan to get it. Worth it though. Tastes dank af. Tastes like pure weed.Made a run today for this weekend:

I've heard. I did pick up a Citracado but been looking forward to getting unfiltered.EB Unfiltered is amazing. Stone kills it with the ability to get that beer mass produced and distributed so fresh.
I can't believe it doesn't make it to Illinois. How far are you from Indy? In Chicago proper?I've heard. I did pick up a Citracado but been looking forward to getting unfiltered.
Ugh...do I really need to go to Indiana. On purpose?
From what I understand it was here before and was supposed to be here this go around. I am in the SW burbs so it's actually a short trip. I am just being an ###.I can't believe it doesn't make it to Illinois. How far are you from Indy? In Chicago proper?
Jealous of the v1 and Todd. Two of my favorites. Although I can't complain, I'm on hop overload right now. Excited to try Double Two Hearted tomorrow for the first time.Todd night cap.
Picked up the following yesterday:
Sure Bet
Pipeworks Nelson
Spiteful Manbuns are for Wieners (iipa w kiwi)
Oracle
Todd
Permanent Funeral
Balling the Queen
Pipeworks Simcoe
Navaja
Need to grab some Fresh v1 now.
Sure Bet is pretty amazing too. Actually not really a loser in the bunch.Jealous of the v1 and Todd. Two of my favorites. Although I can't complain, I'm on hop overload right now. Excited to try Double Two Hearted tomorrow for the first time.
Never had Sure Bet. Love PW IPAs though. Tomorrow a local bar has an elusive Double Two Hearted tapping. I've never had it but since 2H is basically the godfather of midwest IPAs, I'm real excited but do worry it will be a little more malt forward than I prefer. That said, I think Bells tends to do a great job balancing hops and malt.Sure Bet is pretty amazing too. Actually not really a loser in the bunch.
That said, double what????
I didn't see it -- and the place I hit would have had it if anywhere does, so I don't think so.Shorts Psychedelic Cat Grass reach there? It was a bit of a war zone in Michigan to get it. Worth it though. Tastes dank af. Tastes like pure weed.
EB unfiltered is coming according to one of the shops I go to.I've heard. I did pick up a Citracado but been looking forward to getting unfiltered.

Hope so. Been on the lookout for it although based on the list above I should be good for at least this weekend.EB unfiltered is coming according to one of the shops I go to.

Have you had any of the 2016 sisters yet? Soooo f'ing good.GI Sofie -- just LOVE this beer.
This year only Gillian thus far. And agree, they are spectacular beers.Have you had any of the 2016 sisters yet? Soooo f'ing good.
Don't think I've ever seen or had this -- but would grab it up in a second of I did. They still make Concord Grape Sofie every so often? Probably one of the best beers I've ever had.
Halia and Lolita were at Costco for 16 bucks each. Both were amazing. This year only Gillian thus far. And agree, they are spectacular beers.
Costco here doesn't carry bombers, and I think I paid $30 for the bottle of Gillian.Halia and Lolita were at Costco for 16 bucks each. Both were amazing.
The one in Oakbrook is the only one around that does and they have a pretty good selection. I hate when I get something at the local shop and then see it at Costco for 2/3rds what I just paid.Costco here doesn't carry bombers, and I think I paid $30 for the bottle of Gillian.![]()
Hmm... my membership would be good there too, right? Might be a hard sell with the wife, though, LOL -- honey, we need to drive more than an hour past "normal" Costco so I can buy more beer...The one in Oakbrook is the only one around that does and they have a pretty good selection. I paid $30 or $35 for my Gillian. Havent tried yet, taking Up North this weekend. Also have the other one...Halia I think? Store still has a bunch of the 2015 ones too. Just so hard to shell out for a bunch of $25+ bombersCostco here doesn't carry bombers, and I think I paid $30 for the bottle of Gillian.![]()
Yeah, bombers are teh suck in terms of $ / oz. period. Even if they're in the $10 range, you're looking at roughly $30 / sixer prices. At $25+ it's really hard for me to pull the trigger too. I'll do it once in a while for a limited beer that I know is absolutely great (like the sisters), but it hurts.I paid $30 or $35 for my Gillian. Havent tried yet, taking Up North this weekend. I only had it once, at Map Room maybe 5 years ago.....I remember it being amazing. I love regular Sofie but that one was on another level.Don't think I've ever seen or had this -- but would grab it up in a second of I did. They still make Concord Grape Sofie every so often? And all the other breweries that have sold out?#### Goose Island.
Eh, smaller / local will likely always get the lion's share of my beer $$$, but at the end of the day I'm all about good product, and GI makes some damn fine beers.#### Goose Island.
i have to confess that at the fancy places up north i will have a goose iland even tho its from chicago and hey f fibs but tonight i am drinking michiganbrau in the form of bells two hearted bam livin the wicker furniture high life for the old swcer tonight take that to the bank bromigos
I think if you tell her about the new, fancy (something that she likes) is available at Costco for cheap....but only in Oak Brook.Hmm... my membership would be good there too, right? And they still have Lolita 15.99 and Halia 19.99, saw them both again today.I think if you tell her about the new, fancy (something that she likes) is available at Costco for cheap....but only in Oak Brook.
Walk in and they don't have said product anymore because "it must have sold out" but oh wow....look at all of this beer. You had no idea. Since you're here....

Basically, yeah. But it gets complicated. Goose Island isn;t complicated for me.berndog said:And all the other breweries that have sold out?
That's fine. Do what you gotta do. I can't justify giving them a dime. They actively strong arm their way on to shelf space and on to tap handles that would otherwise be available to the company I work for and another company I'm an owner of as well as all my craft beer brothers in arms. They blur the pay-to-pay lines, undercut local pricing to gain share, and hold the entire inbev portfolio hostage to get accounts to play ball. They can go #### themselves.Coeur de Lion said:Eh, smaller / local will likely always get the lion's share of my beer $$$, but at the end of the day I'm all about good product, and GI makes some damn fine beers.
