What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

Today is PW Lupine, the rest of my growler of NWBco Mosaic Gummy and likely then DDC and maybe some Stone Tangerine....going to be ugly tomorrow lol.

OMG Mikerphone releasing Super Special Sauce all single hopped with Mosaic. Tomorrow 11am, 3 bottle limit per person. I'm going....#### it.

ETA the wife is going with me, hopefully we will get 6 bottles between us.

It will be...but man the mosaic is calling me like the siren's song. He has an idea of demand now so if he's saying 3 I think if I get there at 9:30 I have real shot. It's 15-20 minutes away and I can't resist a single hopped mosaic DIPA from him.

That. Sounds. Amazing.

Good luck and godspeed!

I'm sure you'll be fine if you get there that early. Can you imagine if it was a barrel aged beer? You'd be camping out tonight.

What's all the hulabaloo about Mikerphone? I've had a couple of their beers, and while good, I haven't had one that has wowed me yet.

...meanwhile, caught the Mike Birbiglia stand up show in West Palm earlier tonight at the Improv, where they had a 2 drink minimum and Yuengling was the only non Heineken/Newcastle/BMC beer they had...ugh...so now I'm back at the GFs place, she's crashed out, and I'm finishing up a Cycle "Home Alone 5 - the one the Rock was in" IPA crowler...I think it's predominately Nelson hops but am not sure. Either way, it's pretty tasty!

What have you had from him?

It's cold and rainy and my dumb ### is in line at Mikerphone. Tap room line is longer than capacity and to go line is about 30 deep. I'm first so in getting limits on super special sauce, get fresh flow, and rocking the suburbs.

Fantastic. It's a hazy NE style IPA, so if that is a style you might like, it's well worth trying.
Sounds good.  I was going to make a road trip to the brewery, thinking it was in the Kalamazoo area (m-43). The other side of Lansing is too far for me.  I live by greenbush, tapistry, and transient.

I've had a couple you've sent me and maybe one other at a bottle share. Dont remember what any of them were, they were all quite a while ago. I wanna say one was something about a disco ball maybe? Or maybe had a disco ball on the label?

I'll have to look and see what you have listed on Untappd. The special sauces have always been excellent, maybe not TH or double dry hopped Trillium but damn good nonetheless.

Update?
Got limits of Super Special Sauce and Get Fresh Flow but no Rocking the Suburbs, they didn't have any left in bottles. Line was 60+ deep for the to go line about the same for the tap room when we left. Key is getting there 9/9:30 to get into the tap room or get bottles. We were in and out in 5 minutes. I will likely get better in terms of speed once he gets two more POS terminals, but the tap room has a limit of I think 48 people so if you aren't first you're going to be waiting a while.

Crazy.

Pipeworks Lupine. Reminds me of what Pipeworks bombers used to be. Outstanding.
Have they changed?  Been gone almost a year now. Sad to hear if that is the case.

Ill be back in June for a full week. :excited:

I love me some Freshly Squeezed, but got a 12er of Dechutes' Mirror Pond IPA and was majorly disappointed.  Price was right tho.

I'll be all over between Naperville, downtown, Indiana and Wisconsin
When in Naperville PM me...I'm close. maybe one of the Ditkas (Link Limp and 311 is out that way too now maybe?) and I think Anygong (or however you spell it) is out that way too....I'd be up for a downtown cornhole depending on timing/days.

Honestly, probably not. They are still awesome. I think where they used to just stand out in awesomeness, we are really spoiled in Chicago with the quality available to us. I will say that not having to jump immediately or chase trucks to not miss out on getting these  is nice.

Might have to open this Spotted Puffer in the name of research today...

How old is the puffer?? And they are back to where they were. They had some big issues when they went to that big expansion...but have gotten better. I love Lupine, great hop and really different than any other hop.

From the last release so it's not brand new. Forgot I had it to be honest until I saw it yesterday.

And I'm in the dirty southwest suburbs.

Left Hand Milk Stout.

Creamy smooth and sweet. I can't help but stick my nose in the glass and take a whiff
Keeping with the theme ... Southern Tier Choklat (Imperial Stout).

Very chocolaty and delicious.  The 10% apv gives it just a little burn compared to Samuel Smiths Organic Chocolate Stout (my other favorite desert beer)

Just did some math.....Mikerphone sold $15,400 worth of Super Special Sauce in 4 hours. If everyone bought their limit of Get Fresh Flow (which it seemed everyone was doing) that is another $8,800 for Flow. in 4 hours. I've never done the math before and am :jawdrop:
