What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

Cigar Cit Killswitch Engage IPA...one of the better CCB IPAs I've had. Very tasty. $11 bombers are a bit steep but I brought 2 home anyway.

No way am I getting down there this week :kicksrock:

ETA I can't find out the details on limits, nothing on FB, Twitter or their news page. ####.
Yeah, me neither which bums me out. I guess you can go to Mikerphone for Lunches Brunches for your Nelson fix.

I guess I will settle for Vallejo and hoping to find some Born Again Yesterday.

Yeah, I may go there instead but at least at HA I won't have to wait 2 hours lol....just an hour plus drive each way. Pretty excited he's adding a couple of more tanks, which means more beer!

That means they will become shelf turds in 6 months...Jk.

Read that there was some limited distribution the past couple days which may be a good sign of increased production. Or maybe the neckbeards already spent their allowances and have to wait until next month.

What hit distro was not his "big" name series...so I don't think it had the same recognition. But it is a very good sign.

Shimmy Shimmy Ya was one, right? I thought that beer was pretty damn good.

Anyway, picked up some Born Again Yesterday, new Stratus cans, and some Vallejo.

Yep, and yep it is. He hasn't made many meh beers.

I want to go but sure I'll get there or HA on Sat. Just too much to do with it being Easter weekend plus that new puppy.

FFF Molten Mirrors, then worked on a Revolution League of Heroes 12 pack -- Galaxy, Mosaic, Local, and regular Anti-Hero.

Going to try to get out to 18th Street tomorrow to grab the new Citra dry-hopped APA collab they did with Stephanie Izzard from Girl & the Goat.

Under Crown and ZD while I smoke a few racks of ribs. Bomber of 18th Street Toxic Words (Citra DIPA w/ honey) on deck for later when it's bad judgement time.

Toxic Words is really unique -- HUGE honey presence, Citra playing 2nd fiddle. Not at all what I was expecting, definitely the sweetest DIPA I've ever had -- but still really good. Going down fast and easy; would absolutely buy again if they brew it.

Of course...had no chance to get there today. Got Born again and Brickstone Galaxy IPA. Add in some Waldo and well I'm getting drunk. Add in a ####tastic performance so far from the Hawks and it's drunky drunk time.
Damn, really wanted to hear about that Nelson. Smashing M-43s, now onto Freedom. Freedom is good, but everything is such a letdown after M43

Yeah I would have loved to be telling everyone about it lol. Just no way I was getting there today, or to Mikerphone for that matter.

Shorts has a very limited release of their 1st NE IPA this week as well. I am hoping to get some of that- it might even be draft only. Beer scenes are so insane right now. I remember a couple years ago when I just wanted to try a Sculpin.

Yeah it's crazy. Really can't complain with Mikerphone close and Noon Whistle even closer.

oiled the grates and it was fine, I think they should have been marinated. I oiled and seasoned right before grilling.
I have never marinated scallops ever. Just do butter in in a pan and saute quick with some herbs and garlic. Salt and pepper after cooking.

GD Chicagoguys thread. Lol.

Tonight's lineup while rewatching The Force Awakens:

Civil Juice

Toppling Goliath Pseudo Sue

CCB/Killswitch collab Alive or just Brewing IPA

MIA Brewing Mega Mix APA  (6% abv that drinks like an IPA)

18th Street's Barrel Massacre tickets go on sale tonight -- looks like they responded to all of the push back on social media last year as 2017 tickets are cheaper (DD tickets are WAY cheaper). Glass, tote bag, music, and pours of each of 7 BA drafs for $50 looks very reasonable to me. Also pumped that evidently two fruited long sours will be included in the bottled offerings this year (and Drew has killed it in that style from what I've tried).

BARREL MASSACRE 2017 June 3rd, 12-4pm. We will be having one session only this year. 400 total tickets will be available. 21+ only. Ticket price will be $50.

Tickets go on sale at 7pm CST tonight, 4/17

Ticket pricing includes:
• Entrance to Barrel Massacre 2017
• Barrel Massacre 2017 glass
• Barrel Massacre 2017 tote bag
• Live music performances
• Drink card to be used for 1 (one) 5oz pour of each of the 7 BA drafts available.
• Guarantee to purchase (cash only) specified allotment of each:

1x Vintage BA bank: $15
1x 22oz BA Bank 2017: $25
1x a yet to be named RIS 22oz: $22
1x Petite Sour Peach Barrel aged 6 in French Oak on top of peaches. 750mL: $20
1x Wild Ale Barrel Aged in French Oak for 1 year on top of white wine grapes. 500mL: $20

More bottles may be added to this in the coming weeks. More info on available BA drafts will be announced in the coming weeks.

Surly xtra citra now.
Wondered about that one...not a big Rev fan. Might have to give this a shot.
