I feel like Bergen County, NJ is an awful spot for microbreweries. When I was in college in the Lehigh Valley, there were a plethora of places/brews to satiate my thirst

Picked up some nice Michigan beers for the game today:

Bell's Expedition Stout, New Holland Dragon's Milk, and Dark Horse Crooked Tree IPA

 nice picks.Wish I could buy the Expo Stout here (or any Bells for that matter), and I've heard good stuff about that IPA.

Sam Adams Octoberfest... a real nice amber ale....and it tastes even better when "someone".... (Likely me), inadvertentlly dropped a few 10mg valium in the mix.... :excited:

Good stuff. ;) After drinking a bunch of this during the NHL playoffs last year I have been drinking more and more IPA's. Never liked them. Now I can't get enough of them.

Haven't had the others but as it gets colder I will go more into the stouts.

Tonight going relatively light with a mix of Spaten Oktoberfestbier, Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier (not really anticipating greatness here), and Lakefront Brewery pumpkin lager.

Starr Hill makes some good beers. That's not one of them. Not that it's bad, but they have better offereings. The Love (hefeweizen), The Gift (dopplebock), Northern Lights (IPA) are very good. They're doing a double IPA ripoff of Pliny which is really good.
I agree but I'm not going to throw away part of the box set. Had the IPA while watching the Redskins this afternoon, it's one of my faves.

Had Sly Fox Saison last night. Pretty decent. Almost a cream-style ale like a Boddington's but not that extreme. The wife and I both enjoyed it.
Have not had the Saison, but Sly Fox is a great brewery and the Route 113 IPA is awesome.

Just picked up some Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA and Yuengling Black & Tan.
Big fan of IPA and Sierra Nevada but not my favorite. Stone, Big Sky, and Dog Fish Head still my favorite IPA.
 Just had a Full Sail IPA last night. Meh. It's no Stone.
Have had my share of Full Sail IPA kind of like it. I do prefer Dog Fish.Tonight I'm going to an Ethiopian restaurant. Have no idea what they will have for beer selection but does anyone have any suggestions?
Update? Anything interesting? May be doing Ethiopian this week. Website doesn't indicate anything out of the ordinary, but maybe they will have something interesting.

Saturday night, I tried Short's Bellaire Brown and Soft Parade. Also, tried Darkhorse Raspberry Ale. All were pretty good.

For non beer, tried the Grand Traverse Distillery Wheat Vodka. All who tried this, liked it.
