i've had it a handful of times and thought it was decent enough. i'd drink it again.
 
Celebrating my recent Goose Island Bourbon County Vanilla Stout and the Goose Island Bourbon County Rare Stout, drank a Surly Cynic Ale, now drinking a Sierra Nevada Tumbler, then possibly a Rogue Dead Guy.

 
whiskey-flavored (or "flavoured" for our candian friends) whiskey. May get into some four loko next.

Drinking this right now. It was part of the assorted 12-pack that my mother bought for Thanksgiving. Of course, no one in my family really drinks beer, so I took 4 of the bottles that I'd never had before (Holiday Porter, Chocolate Bock, Old Fezziwig, and White Ale - I don't buy Sam Adams much).This is drinkable, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to buy a full pack of it; this might not really be my style though. The Chocolate Bock was quite good. Holiday Porter was alright - better than the Old Fezziwig, IMO. Haven't tried the White Ale yet.
 
Bell's Winter White and Bell's Third Coast. I don't know if there is another brewery with as many high quality offerings.

Funny, my father in law bought the same variety pack for Thanksgiving, they were drinking the Miller Light and hte first thing I grabbed was the Chocolate Bock, I really enjoyed both of them, then worked on a Holiday Porter followed by the Old Fezziwig. Really liked the Chocolate Bock, the Fezziwig was MEH, as well as the Holiday Porter. Ended the night with a cognac (seems like the night cap at the in laws).

The best thing about Fat Tire it that it makes a ton of money for New Belgium so they can continue to make a wide variety of good specialty beers. My favorite high-production beers from NB are their Trippel and their Abbey.
 
Chatoe Rogue First Growth OREgasmic Ale. It is ok, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again...I feel that way about most Rogue selections.

Ithaca Beer Co. is unveiling their newest Anniversary Brew, Thirteen, a week from today at the brewery. Rumor has it, it'll be a Double Wit with Citra Hops.

They're in.... :drumroll: Alpine! I was surprised at how short the drive was from the coast. Think I got there in under 25 minutes. Closer than Stone. Real tiny place. Good BBQ Pub as well (also really small).

Rebirtha>any idea why I'm having trouble finding Cold Front this year?

When I was at the brewery over Labor Day weekend, they had just released this year's batches....I didn't buy any, figuring I'd be seeing it here in a matter of weeks. It's now December, and I still haven't seen it ONCE on the shelf.

No idea. Give them a call tomorrow and I'm sure they can tell you where to find some. Or make a trip to the brewery next weekend for some 13 and Cold Front....

Ha...I wish..might be a death wish with the snow in the southern tier though. I'm sure we'll get the 13...12 is still selling here.

IMO, those are pretty poor approximations of the style. Something about them just falls flat.In other news, I'm finding it hard to type after a couple of Dogfish Head Indian Browns and a 750 ml Don de Dieu, but was it ever so tasty.

 
We had a brewing day yesterday afternoon and I drank a couple Bell's 10,000's and a Dogfish Sah'tea bomber in my garage with the guys while our beer brewed. The 10,000 is underwhelming as I expected when I first read of the "recipe" they used. Not a bad beer of course, just not nearly what I would hope for the last of the Bells Batches. The Sah'tea is excellent - exactly what I expected. Also had a couple Dragon's Milk from New Holland this weekend - really an excellent beer for those who like that type of stout.
