What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

Thanks for the Louisiana insight, Saintsindome. I will see if I can fit in a trip to NOLA during my stay in NO. I will be in town on Friday afternoon so that might work out...I'm not sure if we have anything planned yet.

It looks like they have a tap room....how does it work? Can you get full pints or just tasters?

Surly Furious

Surly Overrated

Pliny the Elder homebrew clone

For me, Furious is near perfection. Thanks for coming to Chicago again, Surly!
I'll have to pick up some Surly from Binny's. Thanks for the tip!
Pretty sure that's the only place that has it right now. I went to the one in Orland and they had a ton of it.

Tonight:

Surly Bender

Surly Coffee Bender (love this stuff)

Surly Overrated

Haven't had Fistmas yet but plan on getting some for Friday when putting up the tree. A friend of mine had it and said "it tastes like Christmas in a can". He was pretty impressed by it. So, that's a second hand review with little detail.

Didnt drink it, but last night I saw a beer called Lickhole Creek Magic Beaver. How do you top that for a name? I chose Gourd of Thunder instead.

New Belgium Ranger

I like how there are pinecones on the bottle and it actually tastes like pinecones would taste

Goose Island's Bourbon County bourbon barrel-aged beers are being released this Friday. I just saw a few boxes of them at my local liquor store in Denver. These Bourbon County releases are as good a reason as any to go out shopping on Black Friday. Here is an article that talks about some of the 2013 variants:

I may go to Chicago this weekend...if I do, I will be at Binny's. I was able to purchase last year.

Sitting at my frinds bar for their Black Friday release party, finishing my second KBS, trying to decide on bourbon county coffee, black note, or 2009 nightstalker.

Tons of places gave GI the finger and sold early. I got my hands on single bottles of the norm and the barley wine and a bomber of the coconut.

The line at Binny's Plainfield was over 100 people this morning

New Belgium Accumulation Ale, absolutely delicious. I like but don't love Fat Tire, been drinking it mostly because we haven't had it down here in SOuth Florida until a couple months ago. Fat Tire in cans though for tailgating is awesome.

Accumulation Ale IMO exceeds the Sierra Nevada Celebration and Pyramid Snowcaps by a good margin.

Yikes, sounds nuts. I went to the Binny's in Skokie and just walked up and got some. No line or hassle. I must have been pretty lucky that year. I didn't up in Chicago this weekend anyway, so it doesn't matter. Enjoy your beer.
