You aren't gong to find a that many American varieties of Hefes or Kolsch. Are there any local breweries/brewpubs nearby? They might tackle that sort of thing. (what part of PA are you in?)

Being in a case county sucks for you. For lots of reasons. So, sorry for that. Move. If you insist on not moving, look up your best local beer places and keep trying ####. Or, if you have lots of disposable income: trade for beer. Pretty easy and also fun if you have the money.

Had a Black IPA when I was in FL over the weekend (Funky Buddha in Boca) - sex panther, solid name. Pretty good, never tried or even heard of that style of beer before - interesting - worth a taste. Anyone familar with this style and have other recommendations?

Firestone Walker Wookey Jack also very good, in addition to Green Flash. I haven't had Stone, but I would certainly take his word for it.

Had Lagunitas Nighttime Ale last night. It was pretty good. Still some citrus notes, despite the roastiness.

I have a bomber of this in my fridge. Had it once before and liked it, especially for $4.99. I'll be hanging out at Xfinity Live in Philly tonight, so there will be some Victory going down for sure.

I wasn't planning to go hunting for Beer Camp, but saw the 24 at Costco yesterday for $40 so picked one up. Costco is doing a great job with beer these days. About 20 different 750s and 22s, all about 1-3 bucks less than the best price I can get at my bottle shop.

I'm always surprised at the beers Costco has. Good stuff good prices.

Haven't seen the 24 pack of BC at my Costco yet which is surprising.

That place is not bad, but it is only cases and honestly, I probably would not make a special stop for it. If you were really in the area and wanted to check something out, probably The Beer Shoppe in Ardmore is the best bet, though I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it.

Russian River may make a better IPA than Torpedo, but I'd like to see them put in on grocery store shelves in Iowa at $8 per six pack.

SN does a great job of making high quality affordable beer that is widely distributed. No doubt. They don't make the best beer though.

Totally agree. It was kind of refreshing going to Germany and not even having hoppy beers as an option. That said, drinking Lagunitas Sucks.

So? I've tried Gossamer, Over Ale, Pony Pilsner and a couple of their seasonals. But I'm in no hurry to try something they describe as " A west coast Pale Ale chock-full of dank, aromatic hops. This one's a screamer, hoard it."
