So apparently I'm now a "local' at the UPS close to my house. I'm forced into chit chatty conversations while my packages are weighed. And today it happened.
UPS Lady: So Skylord, do you have an Ebay business?
Skylord: Um...yes.
UPS Lady: I thought so. And what do you sell?
Skylord: Errr, snow globes. And statuettes...porcelain ones.... My wife collected them as a kid.
UPS Lady: I don't really know much about Ebay. How do they make money??
Skylord: Uhhh, they take a percentage off the top. 10%...so people jack up the pricing of shipping to cover costs.
UPS Lady: And how much did you charge this buyer on shipping?
Skylord: Me? Oh, um...25$...
UPS Lady: That was good, this package only cost you $18!
Skylord: Yeah, thanks.
UPS Lady: Your snow globes and statuettes are valued under $100?
Skylord: Yes.
UPS Lady: $25 is a lot to pay for shipping for items under $100. How much do you sell the snow globes and statuettes for?
Skylord: Oh...lets see...$75.
UPS Lady: And people pay that much for these?
Skylord: I think there are lots of snow globe and statuette collectors out there.
UPS Lady: Ok, thanks Skylord. See you next time!

I hope I was right about the 10% thing. I'm not very good at lying at 9:30am with out any coffee in me.
