What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

Sure is nice when 6 bottles of this show up at your door. :banned:
You're bluffing.Post pics.

:P
he said he won an auction on ebay for a sixer. I lost mine by $5. $5 ####### bucks.
Where are you seeing tehse auctions?? I dont find any 12 when I search, even in completed auctions
You have to do a worldwide search.
WTF other kind of search is there on the WWW than a WW search?
Do an advanced search on ebay. There is a drop down that's default is ebay.com. Switch that to worldwide and you are there.
you teach a man to fish . . .
. . . and he has a new hobby to do while drinking?Yeah yeah, I found it. Gonna "Buy it now" for $64.

ETA: How much was the shipping TT?
It's usually around $26-30

This just in: Wingnut is good people! One of these was waiting for me when I got home.

How about a guy from Florida shipping a Michigan beer to Indiana?

(Also: thread is approaching 10,000 posts!)

I traded for one with him too! I keep looking at it when in the basement. It's fate will come soon enough.

Drinking a Racer 5 courtesy of Men-in-Cleats from BOTMC. Have had a few of these, and like them. Should review it on BA.....nah.

So how much karma do I get for this:

Went to Binny's just now to get more Founders Curmudgeon. No problem. They had two 4-packs left, and that was about what I wanted, although I would have bought up to four 4-packs. Anyway, started talking to the guy next to me in the aisle, as he was looking for a specific Scottish Ale. I have almost no experience with Scottish. Anyway, he mentioned that I had made a beeline to the Curmudgeon, and asked why. So I told him about it, and what the beer is like, etc. Turns out that it was the last two they had in the store, per an employee we asked. ***karma brown-nosing alert*** So I gave him one of my 4-packs that was already in my cart. It's all about sharing, right? Felt pretty good about that, because he mentioned he like the barleywine and heavy beer style.

Got to the checkout line, and the "beer guy" I usually talk to was checking out at the register. He mentioned that they are getting more on Friday. So my Karma Check might be cashed soon after all.... :D

Ok, I gave in. Had to have a good beer. Just cracked a Victory Hop Wallop.
Wow, not drinking much sure does make beer taste good. After this I had...Deschutes Twilight Ale

Independence Pale Ale

Terrapin Cream Ale

 Me too. Who said begging doesn't get you anything!

DFH Indian Brown Ale (thanks culdeus!). Served in my Pro Football Hall of Fame pint glass. Pours a beautifully clear brown with a thin off-white head. Nice full maltiness with an adequate level of hoppiness. Roasted malt overtones make this a very nice full bodied beer.

the BA description makes Doppelbock sound exactly like my kinda beer. but i'm gunshy from the Blonde.
don't be. go find yourself some celebrator and enjoy the malty goodnesswhich blonde did you try? :softball:
Ayinger Celebrator Andechs Doppelbock Dunkel is the beginning and end of the doppelbock discussion.
Fixed. Although if we're limiting the discussion to those beers generally available and imported to the US. then Ayinger is way the hell up there with Spaten Optimator not far behind.
Where does Liberator fit into this discussion? I've still got some I need to drink.

Yet another beer I can't get on the West Coast. Sometimes this thread depresses me.

It's right up there as far as I remember. Unfortunately I've only had it once, so I've never been able to do a side by side.

Sam Adams Light.

God, I love this beer.
:goodposting: Have you tried Busch light yet? I hear good things about that too.
On what planet is Sam Adams considered low-rate beer?
I'm just busting your balls a little. Generally light beer is very inferior to the real stuff, but there is a time and place for everything.
Nothing wrong with Sam Light. Good bar choice, and a solid light choice. I might go for something else......like.....oh......Beatification. But that's just me.

It's not here. But might be on Titan. I haven't reviewed the film from Cassini yet. I'll get back to you.
I have a feeling that this post would have been really funny if it didn't go right over my f'n head.
Sorry. I'll aim lower. How's Furley Level for you. I figure everyone will get it if I aim for the lowest common denominator. Kinda like most media outlets in this country.

Vinnie: "Sure my dear and loyal patron, what can I do for you?"

Max: :kicks Vinnie in the nuts:

Vinnie: (groaning) "WTF"

Max: That's for George. He wants more Beatification, mother####er!"

In all seriousness, talk to Natalie. Tell her you know James Kitchens. You can thank me later.

I kinda figured you were. I'm not big on light beers generally, but since it's Sam Adams, it's still got a lot of flavor to it. I generally prefer the full-bodied Sam Adams Boston Lager, but with the Lite version, I seem to drink more.

I only have two left. The brewery usually reserves a few cases for walk in customers, so I'm hoping to pick up a few more when I go there soon. That's how I got the bottle of Redemption I sent to Bax.

What's the old rule? "If you have to say it about yourself, it's probably not true."
