I am about to crack open an
Allagash Interlude. Its a Belgian Saison aged in wine barrels to give it kind of a beer/wine hybrid taste. It cost 20 bucks for the bottle, so it better be good.
I picked up Maine's two heavyweights tonight. The Interlude (first time I've ever seen it and the place has a dozen more) is one of them and the
Cadillac Mountain Stout is the other one (the majestic looking mountain pictured on the bottle is actually an exhaust-filled, granny-lovin' tourist trap in reality). I've had this stout before and had mixed feelings on it but my palate was too inexperienced at the time so I'm giving it a fair chance now. I may actually have a pay per view of stout feasts tonight with the CMS as the undercard and the Alesmith Speedway Stout as the main event.I can also get Allagash Tripel (thought to be the #3 Maine beer), Four, Musette, White, Victoria, and Dubbel whenever I'm in Maine as well as
Atlantic Brother Adams Honey Bragget Ale if anyone is interested in trying some of the top Maine brews.
