Friday night I had Orval and St. Bernardus abt. 12. First time I had either of those. I liked both -- the Orval was the most complex-tasting beer I've ever tried. Lots going on in there.
But I think my current favorites are still Duvel and Gulden Draak.

Bell's Hopslam Ale - highly recommended if you like very strong, bitter, hoppy beer, but its hard to find. Bell's brews Hopslam for about six weeks each year in January and February, so its not on the shelves very long. Strong alcohol content at about 10%.

I hadn't tried it before. Instead of letting it age for several more years before ever trying it, I figured I'd sample it now and then, if I liked it, get some more and let that age for a few more years.
I do like it quite a bit. But I think I'd like it better after the sweetness calmed down a bit more.

The bar a block from my office has Hoegaarden on tap, and the hottest bartender I've ever seen. (Maybe second hottest. Becca was pretty hot.) So that's what I had tonight.
