I say the Detroit Lions, because they are just awful every season yet they pack Ford Field out week after week.
So maybe you could call us the dumbest fans.

Booing injuries and presenting an actual physical threat to opposing fans at your home stadium != Best fans. You should have made this a poll. You only would have needed one option- "my team"- because that's what I suspect everyone's going to vote, anyway.Form everything Ive ever heard Id say the Eagles and the Chiefs

Saints, for the same reason.Only difference is, we've been awful for a lot longer (until now, of course). It took 20 years for us to attain our first winning season. It took over 30 years for us to win our first playoff game. How many fans would have stuck around that long?I say the Detroit Lions, because they are just awful every season yet they pack Ford Field out week after week. So maybe you could call us the dumbest fans.
Never bought this considering I went to school in Wisconsin and I watched all the Cowboy jackets turn into Packer jackets once the Cowboys stopped making the Super Bowl and the Packers did. Most overrated fan base is more likely than best.Green Bay.

Speaking as a diehard Colts fan relocated to Kansas City: I only wish the Colts had fans as good as the Chiefs have.
I think I lot of this perception has to do with the fact that we invade other teams stadiums and cheer for our team. It really wouldn't matter how civil you are that’s going to piss people off. We've also had a lot of success the last decade so it’s easy to talk down to most other teams, and fans will do that. Also, when the interactions with Steeler fans aren't simply when they're meet in enemy territory then it's over the internet, and internet bloggers have never been tagged as the most mature demographic. I don't care what team you are, you have a lot of annoying internet posters who think your team is the best thing to ever happen to football and will lash out like 4 year olds if told different. I simply refuse to believe that Steeler fans are really that much more annoying then any other teams fan base, and that if any other fan base would go to as many opposing stadiums as ours do then they’d have the same persona.Chiefs

Steelers fans have great turnout but pride themselves on being obnoxious. I'm not sure what makes them do this, but it is a huge turnoff to other fans.
Chiefs fans are unreal in Arrowhead, but to disgrace the National Anthem with the whole ...home of the Chiefs thing is just not good.
For those reasons, I'll take the Packers fans. They own the team for goodness sakes!
I'm a tremendous Colts homer and love how our fanbase is growing, but until the "old money" that sits in the Club Seats moves out, we will still be behind other cities.
However, the Dome is among the loudest stadiums in the NFL, piped in sound or not. haha

Be careful, Pizzatyme. I'll take back my permission to use my spreadsheet. LOL! I'm not sure how I can explain this other than simply saying that when Chiefs fans sing "Home of the... CHIEFS!!!", no disrespect is meant at all. We love our country. We love our servicemen and servicewomen. We say that because it's electrifying. We say it because we're proud. And we say that because Arrowhead is..."The home of the CHIEFS!!!"ChiefsPackersBearsSteelersBroncosEaglesBrownsSteelers fans have great turnout but pride themselves on being obnoxious. True fans, you have a solid argument there...The bandwagon ####s who strapped on a Bettis jersey in Jan '06....many of whom I work with, and have never even seen inside of 500 miles from Pittsburgh, not even close.T H E P I T T S B U R G H S T E E L E R S No other team even close
And when we can see that people are annoyed at our presence, that makes us intensify our energy that much more. Pittsburgh people are mostly very friendly people, but this post is on point, in the role of hostile invader, its hard for anyone to come off well.I think I lot of this perception has to do with the fact that we invade other teams stadiums and cheer for our team. That right there is someWOW... kinda surprised that the Eagles are on the list. They have the worst fans IMO.Not because of the booing Santa or cheering players getting hurt, but the fact is that they are some of the first fans to turn on their team and say how bad McNAbb is or how bad so and so is or that the Eagles suck altogether after a couple loses... but if the Eagles win a couple games they blindly proclaim them the best team in the NFL.They have no sense of levelheaded judgement...A true fan always cheers for their team and hopes the best for them...!!!
Speaking as a diehard Colts fan relocated to Kansas City: I only wish the Colts had fans as good as the Chiefs have.I'm as die hard a Lions fan as you'll see. However, I spent 3 years in Kansas City when I got out of high school. Their fans are on a whole new level. It was absolutely incredible. My vote has to be for KC.

Does that take away from your power?
I think most of us would come off well except that we tend to get real boisterous when we see our steeler brothers and sisters away from home.I can think of a few who have come off well. So maybe you could call us the dumbest fans. The fact that they used to pack the 80,000 seat Silverdome (when they still sucked) still amazes me. Oldest team never to play in a Superbowl?

Steelers. They are loyal fans. It seems every place that I travel to has some sort of Steeler fan club.
I was just going to say that. The best or the dumbest??I say the Detroit Lions, because they are just awful every season yet they pack Ford Field out week after week. So maybe you could call us the dumbest fans.
..Imagine when we actually start laying down some W's...Steelers.
They are loyal fans. It seems every place that I travel to has some sort of Steeler fan club.If most = best, I'd have to agree. I live in the southeast and travel a lot down here, too. It seems like every place I go to has a Steelers bar where they all get together to watch the games. Most Steelers fans I've met are usually pretty cool, as well.
Packers have a strong national following, too. Chiefs have great hometown fans, but I personnally haven't run across too many.
IIRC, Giants season tix have a pretty long waiting list, too. Many times the rights to the seats are put in wills and passed down from generation to generation. That may happen a lot in other places, though.
Other teams with a strong out of market following are the Browns, Cowboys, Dolphins and Redskins, as well.
