I have a feeling that this has evolved in Belichick's head as the season has gone on, and that there are in fact multiple motivations (and no doubt some rationalizations) at work, but what do you believe is the PRIMARY reason for the way the Pats have handled themselves late during games?

Other: Anthropomorphic Global Warming.

I'll explain the science of this later, but the data really leaves no room for debate for those who are truly informed.

Other - explain

The correct answer, of course, is all of the above.

ETA the primary motivation is Fear. BB is almost Nixonian in his methods. But you are correct in that there are many issues in play.

Several of those are factors, but if I had to choose one, and I did, it would be a big "FU" to the league for the cameragate stuff.

I think it is starting to become obvious that he is trying to get Brady the records. Going for it on 4th down in the 4th quarter when up 38-0? Come on.

I voted "Belichick wants to keep his team focused and sharp, and avoid late season let-downs that other teams have experienced." I really think it's just that Belichek wants to instill a "never let up" mentality. They won't take any play "easy" no matter who the opponent, or what the situation.

I think it's classless, but at the same time, I don't think Belichek is giving any thought at all about the effect on the other team, I think HIS team is the only team he is thinking about.

Based upon the way some were talking, I was expecting to see more votes here:

Belichick wants to create an Atilla the Hun aura for his team to gain competitive/psychological advantage over future opponents. [ 4 ] [8.51%]

Key word, ANOTHER. Please stop. It's getting impossible to find any real content in this forum with all the damn Pats threads.
