I lol'd.They're saying it's an abdominal strain or something. I've heard nothing to suggest he won't still start. My fault. I just traded for him. I have J. Charles, S. Jackson, and Romo as well.
LINKNewsRecent NewsVincent Jackson (abdomen) returned to Chargers practice Friday. There was some mid-week concern about Jackson's availability, but his return to team drills indicates V-Jax will play and start against the Dolphins. It's worth noting that the national media never made a big deal of Jackson's missed practices. The Fins have been horrible in the back end this year, ranking 29th against the pass and generating four sacks in three games. Sep 30 - 3:07 PMSource: Kevin Acee on Twitter
I had J Charles (dropped), S Jackson Romo, Wells, Dez, R Mathews - some how 2-1.Changing team name to "Broken People".I lol'd.They're saying it's an abdominal strain or something. Someone help me out here. Why is it worth noting? It's worth noting that the national media never made a big deal of Jackson's missed practices.
Acee is one of the best beat writers around and if he says VJax is almost a lock to play, then that's good enough for me.He's questionable but practiced in full. Usually a good sign he will play. Probably 90% chance.
Yeah I agree.I do worry that "abdominal injury" often seems to be code for "sports hernia".
Reports say it is a leg muscle bothering him. Why would I sell when he has only 1 week before his bye to heal up and get it right?I am starting to think that I want to unload Jackson after a good game and while he still seems to be healthy. I read a post a few weeks ago in another thread (I think the Jackson v Wallace discussion) where a previous owner over the last several years commented that Jackson is often banged up and will play in half a game and get pulled. I'm starting to feel that and with the 'abdominal injury' I'm thinking now is a good time to sell high. I just can't figure out what good value would be for him... Is a RB2 too little, too much?
I guess I'm framing this in the context of my situation; I'm fairly stacked at WR and could use a RB2. Of the guys that I have I feel like Jackson could yield me the most and I'm most comfortable giving him up (I'm in a keeper league so I don't want to give up guys like AJ Green and Denarius Moore). Maybe I'm overthinking it but while I do think he'll have big games, I don't know if he will live up to his pre-draft ranking (top 10 WR). If I could pick up a top 15 RB I think I'd move him.I'm just trying to get some thoughts on what an equivalent RB value would be for those like me thinking about trading him away.Reports say it is a leg muscle bothering him. I think that if you're in a keeper league, you're better off keeping Jackson, I think his ceiling and production will be much higher and more reliable than Moore's. Moore is stuck in Oakland with Ford and DHB in the mix, his role is not really well defined for the foreseeable future. However, Jackson's role will be: either he stays as the key receiver for Rivers for a long time, or he gets paid to be the man somewhere else. Anyway, this past week, you just saw what he could do with 3 targets in a matter of minutes. Essentially, this was a game where he got pulled early and performed as WR7 in standard scoring for the week. I'd take that all day long.I guess I'm framing this in the context of my situation; I'm fairly stacked at WR and could use a RB2. That was my plan too, but with a bye week coming up, I think the chances are more likely of him missing if he is a risk to get hurt more. If he does play, I think you have to start him, but there is the risk that he will be pulled early. 100 yards in one quarter was nice, but you can't expect that if he's limited and playing against Champ Bailey. He didn't practice last Thursday either, so his availability for tomorrow's practice will make my decision

I don't like that Turner said he will play at least as many snaps as last week. I have him in now but may go with Julio Jones and Stevie Johnson instead.Okay, let's talk about who we are contemplating starting over VJax this weekend. I'm leaning towards starting Nate Washington against the Steelers.
why? do we have the same roster?'FGITLOTR said:Okay, let's talk about who we are contemplating starting over VJax this weekend. I'm leaning towards starting Nate Washington against the Steelers.
You're thinking of benching Vincent Jackson for that talentless bum in Cincinnati or Harvin against the shutdown Cardinals secondary?!?!?! You're crazy!Very frustrating. I'm so worried about the injury i'm considering starting AJ Green over him, or maybe even Harvin because of the storm expected in Jacksonville.
LOL.I love Green, thats why I drafted him. But I don't think he's at V-Jax's level quite yet as far as fantasy numbers go yet. And I also like Harvin. All indications are that he will start putting up better numbers< but be honest, he hasn't exactly been lighting it up. Nor has McNabb.....You're thinking of benching Vincent Jackson for that talentless bum in Cincinnati or Harvin against the shutdown Cardinals secondary?!?!?! You're crazy!Very frustrating. 2 for 25 so far...looks like I was correct.I am starting him, but I have a bad feeling I am going to end up with about 2 catches and 35 yards to show for it.
