I could easily fill 31 but feel like there is stuff I’m missing.

To minimize (if not eliminate) the likelihood of missing things, I start with an early "brain dump" list of songs. I resist the urge to turn in an early list -- krista gives us plenty of time. Instead, I let things percolate a while. Go down dozens (maybe hundreds over a few weeks) online-search rabbit holes. On short drives, I'll listen to some SiriusXM stations that I usually pass over. Just keep my eyes and ears open to soundtracks on TV shows, music in commercials, etc. I basically end up roughly doubling my immediate "brain dump" list.

Doh!, I never thought about asking LA peeps like @Doug B for suggestions on places to see in New Orleans. We are going to be there for 4 days at the end of March, then heading to Memphis for an NBA game on Friday night. Family vacation, and we are trying to appease an 8 and 16 year old. I think the wife and son want some sort of typical voodoo/ghost tour. The 8 year old wants an aquarium/zoo or some place with dolphins.

If you need Memphis ideas, let me know! I love that you're going to New Orleans and Memphis, two of my favorites. We're doing a surprise trip for my mom in October to NOLA. I'm hoping she isn't still reading these threads... But I'd love suggestions for anything NOLA, too.

I’m pretty excited — may be just not much to say at this point.

I suppose I’ll post avatar change. I already tipped that I had a bunch of Brazilian artists in my list. Avatar is album cover from Tropicália ou Panis et Circencis, which, as a nod back to the UK countdown, was a tribute to Sgt. Pepper’s.

I think part of the reason I like Brazilian music despite not knowing a lick of Portuguese is they were a bit Beatles-obsessed like everyone in the UK/US.

I'm excited. Bursting with fruit flavor in fact... I initially was bummed that a bunch of tracks that I would have considered aren't streaming anywhere. Even though that nixes the songs for my list, I still NEEDED to hear them. Luckily, I burned all my CDs and access them through Roon so I didn't have to go digging around in the basement. Every song I hear begets a new one to dig up. I'm gonna be dreaming in a German accent.

I'm also excited because I'm actually going to be visiting my daughter in Denmark and Norway (with a quick trip into Sweden so I can add another country) for 14 days in the middle of this reveal and have a song from each of them in my playlist. Very apropos.

Honestly, I've been taking this one at a slow simmer. I mean, I'm betting that I'll submit by Wednesday, but that's without being in any real hurry.
But yeah, it feels like there's less to say this time around. At least until submissions go from a drip to a flood.
