Where is Mike Bell being Drafted this weekend? (2 Viewers)

Had a live draft today and I grabbed Tatum. Looks like Mike is the Bell to have this year. :wall:
:ptts:Should have listened to the threads on the topic.
Im slow. What does that finger pointing at the shirt mean?
It also means that he is not being very helpful. Many of the arrogant types like to use that shirt. It means nothing other than "I new the answer, you did not, quit posting your excuses that I do not have to read anyway."
how can he possibly be helpful in any sort of way?
If he is in the same league as the original poster and owns Mike Bell, he could have proposed a Bell-for-Bell trade.

It's my opinion that posts like this are why so many very experienced FF players lurk these boards instead of offering their opinion.
Yep. I agree. In fact, I'm much more hesitant to point out a player these days. And I go WAAAAAAAY back on these boards....I've been through the "You're stupid, Ricky Williams is so much better than Edge" phaseI've been through the "You're stupid, Michael Bennet on the Vikes is oging to be way better than Tomlinson, he played weak competition in college and will be a bust."An I got slammed for prognosticating Anquan Boldin's break out season. So yeah, you idiots who come on here and think you know ought to shut up and learn a bit from the guys that have been here. Maybe you've dominated your local leagues or maybe some yahoo yoohoos... but you know little compared to most of the long-timers on these boards.Vent over... just tired of the overly disrespectful tone I've seen more and more of this season.
LMAO :D Nothing is better than fantasy football message board egos... this is the best post of the year! How can you ever lose? You've seen it all, and called every breakout season! You've posted more than the whole world and anyone with fewer posts has nothing to contribute. Man you have it great! I'll shut up and learn a bit now!

Gearing up for my only non-auction redraft league this weekend. Last weekend, Mike Bell was an afterthought (right after the fumble) and only went for $5 (out of $260) in a 12 team redraft. This weekend a 12 team straight draft (start 1 QB, 2 Rb, 4 WR/TE, 1 Super Flex). I'm interested in where Mike Bell is going in "experienced drafts" of a comparable nature. I would think that probably the range is late 4th to early 6th round. Can people cuff the Bell brothers in the 4th and 5th rounds? Wise move?I know that there are many threads on the Den RBs, but I'd like to focus solely on recent draft intelligence/strategy.
the guy's got one terrible preseason performance under his belt, and you're talking 5th round . . . humorous . . .
Not so funny now huh skippy? :ptts:

Went undrafted and has yet to be picked up on waivers in my recent redraft.
:o He has to be worth at least a waiver pick-up, doesn't he? We drafted before the preseason so he went undrafted in my league but I did grab him when he was named the starter. I'll be keeping him on as my RB4.Just curious why you wouldn't pick him up in waivers???
I've considered it, But my rb's look like this, L.J., Ronnie Brown, LaMont Jordan, Wali Lundy, didn't know if he'd be a starter by week 3 when Johnson and Jordan have a bye, but he became a member after last nights game.

Good call! Not sure how you were able to land the RB's that you did but hats off to you  After last night's game, M. Bell may see my starting lineup week 1!:overlyoptomisticguy:

After last night, it's clear MBell is the starter and there's no reason for that to change. I have his numbers projected at:

220 carries (this is a conservative 14 carries a game)

850 yards

8 TDs

20 receptions

150 yds

1 TD

This puts him as the 23-26th RB...a 4th rounder.

He went in the 4th round in one of my money leagues today and I took him in the 7th in another. I think he is likely to be all over the board just depending on how much :banned: the drafters drank.

:lmao: I love threads that degenerate into PTTS threads. I don't know why, but they always crack me up.

Maybe I do know why. I still remember that guy with his stupid excuse shirt he was trying to sell. God, freaking hilarious.

Why does one have to be :banned: to take MBell in the 4th? It's becoming clear he's the starting RB in Denver...that's worth at least a 4th rounder. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a 3rd rounder after next week's game.

If he is the starting RB in Denver he WILL have over 1000 yards rushing and double digit TDs

Bell went in the second round of my draft yesterday. I think it was 2.20 in a 12 team league. The hype over this guy is silly.I wouldn't touch any rb from Denver until the 6th round. You never know what they are going to do. If he fumbles once T.Bell will be the starter. That's until he fumbles once then Dayne will be the man.Stay away from Denver at all costs.

Agreed. I'm tempering my projections a bit accounting for the uncertainty that still exists. Honestly, the Bronco starting RB should be a 1st or 2nd round pick and should never get out of the 3rd round. No one wants to believe this undrafted rookie can be that good though...

mike bell went 6.03 in my 14-team yahoo league (no ppr) -- so, 73rd overall. the "other" bell went at 4.08 (50th overall).

I knew something was wrong with Williams when I saw him wearing his helmet in the interview room. In 2004, In the fantasy legends league I essentially turned Ricky Williams into Reggie Bush, Marshall Faulk, Javon Walker, and Mark Clayton :bag:

In the six Omega leagues that drafted today at 2pm..this is were MB went.

Omega#1-5.11

#2-3.09

#3-6.07

#4-4.06

#5-5.07

#6-5.04

I believe TB went before MB in four of those leagues.

In a 16 team keeper league where you keep up to three players he went #2 behind Reggie Bush from a knowledgable owner who won the league last year. Not sure if I aqree with him but he did grab Tatum Bell in the late 5th for insurance while I grabbed Dayne in round 13.

In a 12 team draft, I took Mike Bell at 5.09 and then followed up with Tatum at 6.04. I also took Dayne at 13.09 so that I could have the monopoly and start building Hotels.

Not to turn this into a Ricky Williams thread, but I personally believe if Ricky wanted to focus on football as much as he does those other things, he would be a top 5 back every year. With the likes of Bush and Faulk. The thing about him though is he's not some terribly troubled guy, or a guy who cant mentally do it. He just chose not to. It wasnt has important to him or somthing like that. But he has all the talent in the world at his disposa if he chose to use it to its full extent. With Ricky, I think its all CONCIOUS choice. He's an intelligent guy. And Mike Bell = T. Davis more and more every day..... :D haha i hope i wont have to eat crow.

In my draft, 90% of us our Univ. of Arizona alums. Add to that the fact that we are all :banned: , I estimate that Bell will go in the early 4th round of a 14-team league.

20 team redraft Tatum Bell went 4.17 (77th)

Mike Bell went 5.5 (85th)

Ron Dayne went 6.10 (110th)

I only got Mike Bell.... Cecil- love your training camp reports buddy...

Don't get on Switz. He made posts saying he knew a guy with some connections with the Cardinals organization, and that the organization was absolutely LOSING THEIR MINDS over Boldin. He said Boldin could potentially be the next Randy Moss. He caught a *TON* of crap for it- unfairly, I might add. From someone who's been in the same positon, I agree that this board has too much of a "mock the individuals" mindset. Oftentimes whenever someone posts something that goes against conventional thought, everyone jumps down their throat. It's even worse, because most of the time, conventional thought is wrong and the individual is right. The boards do need to work a bit more on objective rationalization and a little bit less on knee-jerk ad hominem attacks.

You've just projected Mike Bell to 3.86 yards per carry. No featured RB in Denver has EVER failed to crack at least 4.2 yards per carry in the Shanahan era. EVER.Rookie Mike Anderson averaged 5.0 ypc. Portis averaged 5.5. Droughns averaged 4.5. Even Olandis Gary got 4.2 yards per carry. As a habit, I tend to project anyone slotted in the Mike Anderson role this year to 4.4 yards per carry, which is a nice conservative estimate given Denver's history. That would bump Mike Bell's yardage total (assuming your 220 carry projection) to 968.

You should notice that MBell's already fumbled once... and he's still the starter. Shanahan has in the past displayed a very high degree of loyalty to his RBs once the starter has been named. See Mike Anderson last year, and even Quentin Griffin the year before.

That's about 6 rounds too early.
Disagreed. Especially in a 14-team league, that's at least a round too late. Depending on where in the round we're talking about, it's possibly two rounds too late.
