As a lifelong Michigan Wolverine fan, one of the most enjoyable games I've ever watched on TV was in Atlanta at a "Buckeye Backer " club. The bar was FULL of rabid OSU fans all wearing Scarlet and Crimson. Four of us, dressed in our Maize and Blue, walked into the packed place about a minute before the opening kick-off. The club was already loud and rowdy, but the noise level went up when they got a glimpse of us and even louder when they realized we were there to stay. There was lots of taunting and friendly banter all through out the game, which the Buckeyes won 14-9 (this was the year they went on to win the national championship.)Don't write it off, you may just get a kick out of the Browine club.Apparently you have avatars turned off. There is a Browns Backers club in Myrtle Beach and one in North Myrtle.
Excellent, thanks.
I only lived there during the summer a couple years ago, so I never went anywhere since it was the offseason obviously, but I distinctly remember this place. No idea what is was called though. It cant be Oscar's though because that said it was in North Myrtle and I know this place Im thinking wasnt in North MyrtleI think it was in the surfside beach section, right? Im pretty sure it was on the right side of the road when your driving south, its def south of the main strip of myrtleI did go to murphy's law a few times, theres 3 of them though. I def went to the 1 in Garden City though, and Crosseyed heres why you should go there - they literally had the best Yuengling on tap Ive ever had. My cousin who was born and raised in PA agreed. It almost didnt taste like Yuengling, and Ive never tasted Yuengling like this. It had a low hop flavor to it, Yuengling doesnt have that.Hah, in all seriousness though, you should go there just to try this Yuengling. Its unrealIs Oscar's the one that has the Steelers emblems all over the outside and is painted black and gold? I've passed that a lot and always wanted to check it out.

Yeah, but you yinzers aren't the sort of customers they want anyway. You'll try to tip the waitress with iron ore pellets, your date/sister will get drunk and take her top off again, and every guy in the bar will yell "For God's sake, please put it back on!" Also, we still don't know how you yinzers leave that greenish/brown ring in the sink of the men's room.Hah...Im surprised BWW would actually sacrifice their business by showing Browns games all year. Id never go there if the Browns were on every big screenBW3 if you like Buffalo Wings and real football fans
I know I was knocking the Brownies there, but in all seriousness, you dont find it strange that a large franchise like BWW will ONLY and ALWAYS have Browns games on the bigscreens in a city 1000 miles away? a tourist city nonetheless? That just strikes me as odd. I could understand about 8 teams or so in the NFL having fan bars in most cities, but the Browns arent one of them, and I certainly wouldnt expect a large franchise to do this. Some privately owned bar, and a team like the Browns, possibly, but BWW??Yeah, but you yinzers aren't the sort of customers they want anyway. ...and Im telling you CrossEyed - go to Murphys Law...the Yuengling is unreal
BW3's 1st restaraunt and corp. HQ is based in OH - so that might explain it. I actually looked into buying a franchise coming out of college, but after a couple of meetings they wanted me to work 100 hrs. a week and pay myself about 30 grr. which was less than exciting.Browns backers are everywhere.I know I was knocking the Brownies there, but in all seriousness, you dont find it strange that a large franchise like BWW will ONLY and ALWAYS have Browns games on the bigscreens in a city 1000 miles away? a tourist city nonetheless? That just strikes me as odd. Funny thing is the 2 owners are originally from Buffalo, but they got their start when both were going to Kent State.BW3's 1st restaraunt and corp. HQ is based in OH - so that might explain it. That's OK, as long as it's good. I don't mind eating bar food one night as long as it's tasty bar food. We're staying in the northern end of Myrtle, so we can get just about anywhere within a reasonable drive.Cross, as far as dinner, it is Wings, burgers and bar food. If you're looking for a nicer joint, you may want to check out the other bars in Myrtle or N. Myrtle depending on where you are staying...
CrossedEyed,Try Liberty Steakhouse and Brewery at Broadway at the Beach. You can take a walk around the boardwalk before dinner (the wife will like the gazillion shops they have there). Liberty has great steaks, awesome microbrews, and several plasma screen TV's in the bar. If you're there with another couple, it will take the gals all day to visit all the shops so you and your buddy can settle in for 9 hours of football! That's OK, as long as it's good. Liberty Steakhouse is very good, both food and the microbrews. I ate there a couple times in the more laidback bar section. Its not too big, and I wasnt there during football season, so Im not sure if it would get packed or not and I dont think the main section has TVs. Def good idea w/ all the shops surrounding the restaurant though Lock Daddy!I was never at the Murphy's that Sheriff listed, I went to Murphys Law SOUTH in Garden City (just south of the big stretch of myrtle), and Ill say it again CrossEyed - BEST YUENGLING ON TAP EVER!! Never had yuengling taste like this anywhere, ever.......also, are you a little worried about the weather with all the hurricanes and stuff?! Im not saying a hurricane is coming thru, but Im pretty sure its been raining almost every day down there..Hopefully you have good luck on that!!CrossedEyed,Try Liberty Steakhouse and Brewery at Broadway at the Beach. Definitely a possibility. We've been to BatB many, many times, but have never eaten at Liberty for some reason. It's just me and the Mrs and I don't skip beach time to watch games that don't involve the Steelers, but that's a place where we can show up early to get a good seat, eat a nice dinner and settle in for the game. And I think I might enjoy being someplace where there might be a few Browns fans too.CrossedEyed,Try Liberty Steakhouse and Brewery at Broadway at the Beach. Thanks. I'm not too worried about the weather. No hurricanes at all on the horizon, so I think we're safe for next week. We've been going to MB pretty regularly in late August/September for the past 16 years and only were chased out once (Bonnie in 98 chased us down to Hilton Head). Forecast looks pretty nice. And it's cheaper and a lot less crowded than it was in July.Liberty Steakhouse is very good, both food and the microbrews. I ate there a couple times in the more laidback bar section.
