Who Are You Pushing the Panic Button On? (1 Viewer)

Bowe and C.j spiller
Yeah man got the same problem. I thought I got a steal getting Spiller with the 10th pick. And for some reason I thought Bowe would be Crabtree 2.0

Only first week but not happy with those two clowns...
Yeah for sure. Really thought bowe would have a good week
Bowe was disappointment. Smith attempted very few passes over 10 yard in the games. Granted he didn't have to but it didn't help alleviate concerns that Smith wouldn't get Bowe the ball deep.

Not sure if it's "panic" mode, but slightly concerned about CJ Spiller and Ahmad Bradshaw.
Spiller, according to RW, might have taken a hit to the head so he might have an excuse. Fred Jax showed he isn't as washed up as some have said.

As for AB, not panicing yet. He's working himself into shape and into the offense...Ballard's 13-63 wasn't distinguishing.

If either continues to underwhelm into weeks 2 and 3, though....oh boy.

That can't really surprise anyone can it? It's not like Alex Smith is new to the league.

Bowe panic is completely knee jerk. KC had the game in total control and there was no need to pass downfield. KC doesn't play Jack every week.

I don't think you really need to worry about Bowe. That game was basically over before halftime. KC more or less ran out the clock, even in the passing game, the rest of the way.

a bit of panic watching trent richardson. going in this year thought for sure he would be an every down guy. seemed to get pulled on many 3rd downs and was an afterthought in passing game. granted dolphins d looked great, but not liking how he was used today.

Josh Gordon coming back in two weeks should loosen things up.

It's a bit early to be pushing the panic button, but I'm seriously considering pushing it on Cecil Shorts. Blaine Gabbert is spectacularly bad.

Who are you considering pushing the panic button on?
He didn't have a catch until half way through the 4th. He didn't do anything last year until garbage time either. He has fluke written all over him.
Yeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with Gabbert, lol.

Panic might be overstating but I think that Redman might be edging out Ivory as dude I'm going to use for my first cut this week.

Yeah honestly the only guy I would full fledge panic with is Ridley. The Patriots DGAF what Ridley did last year, they will bench him with zero hesitation for Vereen.

Vereen top 15 RB ROS, Ridley going to end up on waiver wires.
You guys are nuts. Perhaps it will be more of an RBBC than people think but Ridley will still have penty of value. and Im a vereen owner...

The pats are very short on playmakers this season, you think they are going to bench their bruising RB?

This is truly a week one over reaction if I've ever seen one.

LOL or not as I don't actually own him on that team.

I think as an R Bush owner I'm not so much panicked as chagrined that Bell really is going to get all of the short yardage work.

Who did you think his quarterback was? I would start him next week if I were you. lol

I don't have him, was just pointing out how moronic your statement was. lol

I think people haven't learned their lesson with the Pats yet. Last year Vereen had a big game with 130/1 and the next game he got 3 touches while Ridley had 20.

The Pats change their gameplan and their doghouse every week. I wouldn't any more surprised if next week was all Ridley and Sudfeld while Edelman and Vereen barely see a touch than I would if it played out like today's game again.
What makes Vereen safer IMO is that he's the team's best passing down back by far and when the Pats/brady really needed to go their trusted targets on that final drive it was the Amendola/Vereen show.
The stars have really aligned for Vereen, with Hernandez gone and Ridley's fumblitis today.

Good post. Until Gronk comes back Vereen is a solid rb2 with upside of a rb1. He is going to be Brady's second or third favorite target until then plus he will see 10 carries a game

Lets try to sum this up

Guys to worry about

Ridley - fumbling and good players behind him

Pettigrew - same as Ridley, that rookie tight in Detroit looked decent today.

Ponder - We already knew that

Steelers - this was horrible

Miller/Thomas - That line is HORRIBLE

Bradshaw - I admit I didn't see the game but the stats favor Ballard

Titans not named Chris Johnson - Locker is horrible and will bring everyone but Johnson down with him

Buy Low

Bowe - The Jags put up no fight at all, he will still put up wr2 numbers

MJD/Shorts - Gabbert is very close to being out of the league, those guys will put up numbers when Henne starts and Blackmon comes back

Wallace - They can't run, he is going to get some catches

Sudfeld - He is still going to get a lot of looks, and we still don't know when Gronk comes back

Hilton - He will be fine, I hope owners in my league panic and sell him

I think you guys are forgetting that the Pats only have 4 days off before locking horns with the Jets in another divisional game on Thursday night. So while BB was probably pissed about the fumble, the way the 2nd half played out (close/playing from behind), coupled with the fact they play again in 5 days were probably equal part reasoning for Ridley's lack of usage late.

"BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" Wrong answer

I doubt this had anything to do with it, certainly not equal reasoning. Belichick is famous for pulling guys who can't hold onto the ball, he's done it as long as he's coached. It is a message sent to players, not just that particular player. That said Ridley is still going to get a lot of looks, the Patriots spread the wealth and Blount is not the answer as an alternative to Ridley IMO. Vereen is gonna get his regardless, I'm not sure Vereen impacts Ridley as much as people think.

For the record, I have Vereen.

No.

Ridley fumbled. Vereen came in and played well. Bellichek road the hot hand. Pretty standard.

I'd worry if we're having the same discussion in three weeks.

Bowe will be fine. KC will be behind plenty this season and Smith will have to throw the deep ball or ride the bench.
I think bowe will e fine but not for the reasons you stayed. I think KCs defense is vastly improved and could easily be a top 10 unit this year if not top 5.

Tennessee passing, be it QB, WR, TE, it ain't good.

Mike Wallace...gonna be a long season for owners. I want to hear him whine after the team wins 23-10, I dare him to.

Lamar Miller/Miami ground game...not looking promising and neither is the Miami OL.

I was going to say Lamar Miller or the Dolphins OL, but I'll just go ahead and say the entire city of Miami. I'd sell that entire thing if I had a buyer.
