I luckily didn't draft ball-- but I did get Hillman and moreno--I got moreno with the last pick in my draft--and I got Hillman in the 13th round. Keep in mind--my draft was going on right at the time the Monte ball hype train was peaking--so this really contributed to me getting these guys cheap. I really can't panic about them because I really didn't invest much in them. I'd probably feel different if I had drafted ball--who I believe went in the middle-late 3rd round of my draft.

These 2 looked AWFUL today. I wouldn't sell by any means, but sure hope week 2 is kinder. That is, if Wilson even sees the field....

While this is true, it's not exactly the same situation. In that game you referenced, Vereen happened to catch an 83 yard TD pass; other wise, he had 11 touches for 50 yards. Also, those touches/yards didn't come as a result of becoming the RB1 after Ridley fumbled. So, I don't really see how that game (and the one that followed it) are really relevant to this discussion.

The two most overrated players heading into the season, David Wilson and Lamar Miller.
I am not panicking because I don't own them anywhere except a couple of "draft and forget about it" leagues where there are no roster moves available anyway.
Miller looked "meh" and and had nowhere to run anyway.
Wilson looked like he was paid to give the game away.

lol. The refs should panic for taking his TD away. At some point they need to consider it "a football move" when you grab the ball with both hands and reach it into the endzone.

Roddy White has a high ankle sprain. There is no need to panic. But there is also no reason to play him in your lineup for about 3 more weeks.

Unless your player pulled a David Wilson/Ridley there's no need to panic, and even then it's still week 1. These threads are usually really good way to gauge who may be a premiere buy-low, so they're definitely useful but also totally ridiculous.

I can't say it is ridiculous to panic about some of the RBs. Guys get passed up frequently at the RB position.
I am not talking about panic over a guy who didn't perform well statistically today. But for guys like Wilson and Ridley of course there is HUGE concern. Maybe moreso for Ridley since Vereen is probably just a better all around talent anyway. Wilson at least is easily the most talented RB they have, and SHOULD regain his starting role week 2. Ridley not to much. But even with Wilson, another game like that and the dude is gonna get a lot of splinters.
Lynch I was concerned about before today, now I am VERY concerned. Panic??? Not for redraft. But for dynasty, nearing panic level.
I am still trying to figure out how Peterson has like a 75 yard TD run his first carry. Has like 9 more carries and even another TD, but only had like 77 yards. Not any panic for AP at all, just an observation there while staring at stats on the computer.

Detroit kept 8 in the box all day and did a decent job of staying home after that first run. They dared Ponder to beat them and he almost did it. Along with shooting themselves in th foot like always.
Eta: kind of worried about Julio Jones. No White out there and he doesnt go over 100 yards. Nothing to go into panic mode about though.

Well, I think it always helps a WR when there is another guy who commands attention. Pretty sure he will be fine though.
Anyone worried about Graham? Not from the standpoint of his own production, but one of the major reasons for taking him high was the weakness of the TE position, which did not look weak at all as nearly every "sleeper" TE plus V. Davis and Witten had a big day leaving Graham barely in the Top 10 for the week. Leaves me wishing I had gone WR in the 2nd round instead, which is probably what most people are thinking today.

If graham's floor as a te is 50 receiving yards and a td--thats pretty damn elite. If you look at the wr's in the 2nd round after a week--they were hit or miss too--dez was quiet and possibly hurt, calvin did very little, roddy did very little and could be battling ankle issues for a while. If you look at 2nd rd rbs--wilson, cj2k, ridley also looked very questionable. Basically speaking--I think this has been a very strange week 1. I think so far--a lot of peoples 2nd round picks have been disasters--I wouldn't put graham anywhere near that category.
Yeah, I certainly don't think he's going to be a waste of a pick and would still bet on him being the #1 TE, but my excitement for him being a far and away #1 is somewhat muted. Probably seems like a petty complaint compared to some actual duds put up today, but wanted to get some opinions.

He may not be far and away the #1 TE.................but who will be #2? Pretty sure most have Witten as their #2 TE, but as for all these guys who blew up this week, which one will be close to graham in 15 weeks?
I couldnt say any of them with any confidence regarding Julius Thomas, Cameron, Cook.......
Witten sure.
I think this will quiet down soon enough with Graham 1st big game.

I agree there is too much overreaction for most, but I am definitely in the panic mode for David Wilson. As bad as last week's opener was, this was 10x worse. Only saving grace is the lack of options behind him.
Too early to panic about Spiller, but definitely some concern there. Didn't expect FJax to be used that much and the fact that he looked good is a potential problem for Spiller owners.

Loosing Pouncy is a killer blow to an already average Oline unit. That and they just looked bad to begin with.
Wilson may have just fumbled his way to a RBBC role from a lead back role. It's not spouts the fumbles, too. He was awful in pass protection. When you have a Manning back there that is a vital responsibility. I don't think he can be trusted to be a 3 down back this season.

Gabbert and Shorts were solid last year. Cecil was not a starter until week 7, he produced well with Gabbert when you consider his limited snaps early in the year.

Wilson is the obvious leader of this pack. This was the first game I've gotten to watch him play. Putting the obvious fumble issues aside, he was absolutely horrible on pass protection. I know he's not a big back, but he's gonna have to learn to give himself up more than that. He either whiffed on the blocks or was diving at their feet. It's one thing to block low, but you can't dive at their shoes!! Will be shocked if a back like McGahee or Turner is not given a strong look this upcoming week. But hey, at least after being benched, he didn't cry this year.
I love an optimist in these threads.
It's true, though, his pass blocking was embarrassing. They should sign a vet. Not Turner, though.

Beason and Davis both on the field and healthy by their standards is one difference. Not that that has any big chance of happening all year.
Kuechly's now in Year 2 on his quest to be come the league's premier MLB.
The most important difference is now they've got Lotulelei in front of them creating havoc.
Panthers should be a tough match-up for most RBs this year.

Yeah, I watched Car at camp and pointed out opinion one of those threads that Car could have the best LB group in the NFL this year. Those guys are all studs. TE wild card has simply been healthy of late. Getting Beast-on back was a major upgrade. As you pointed out, Star is a space eater up front as well. The best thing about Car LBs is their speed and athleticism. With him occupying Olinemen the are going to wreak havoc all year.

I'd be very worried about Wilson. In addition to the fumbling woes, he still hasn't shown the lateral shiftiness in tight spaces to manufacture his own yards. It's not like his 2.7 ypc was setting the world on fire before he got yanked.

Not worrying here. You can have buyers remorse if you think the value at TE now looks signficantly better in Round 4 -5. But nothing that happened on Sunday would lead me to believe that Graham still isn't capable of a 1200-1300 yards season with DD TD's.

Thomas ((Demariyus) is still a beast and you know he's going to get his simply because of the physical talent there.
Welker has come in an seamlessly fit in with Manning and with him being so dangerous underneath, he's one of th best to do this.
Thomas (Julius) comes in and has a monster game. While this may be an aberration, it's another weapon in the DEN passing game for Manning to exploit.
In other words, I think Demariyus and Welker are going to settle into their respective roles which means they'll gobble up a signficant amount of targets. Julius may be hot and cold, but it's clear that he's a better weapon at TE than either Tamme/Dreesen were in 2012. And quite frankly, Decker looked a bit out of sorts. He can always come back strong and he'll have some good games by virtue of the offense he's in. But I could see him pulling back into the 850-900/7 TD range which is closer to WR3 that stud WR2.

Yeah tough matchup, and Cam likely would have scored more if DWill didn't have that last fumble on the 10ish yard line. Also Cam started a little slow last year too. He's at BUF next week, I suspect he will have a nice day.
