Who ya sitting in favor of Thomas Jones this week? (1 Viewer)

No one drafted Thomas Jones in the first round or two. No one really expected him to be a stud. No, the reason most people drafted him was for running back depth and, just in case, he had a real-favorable matchup.

Well.........if there was ever a favorable matchup for TJ, it's this week. He's playing against the horrible Kansas City run defense (30th in the NFL, I believe). If he doesn't dent your lineup this week, he probably never will. After his 159 yard performance lasy week, his confidence (and the coaches' confidence in him) has never been higher.

Question is, who are you sitting in order to get him in there?

For me, it's Steve Slaton and Brandon Jacobs.

he's in my lineup right now in favor of MBIII. i like his matchup alot better than mbiii against TB, especially with no romo again.

I'm almost glad ADP is on a bye because I'm a firm believer in YNBYS, but this would have been a tough matchup to pass up.

Only person I am strongly considering benching for him is Calvin in a flex PPR. After seeing Tenn. absolutely destroy them last week, TJ has to be good (IMO) for 125 + 1 TD or more.

I am on the fence this week about sitting Lynch @ Miami over Jones I also have Chris Johnson and my opponent has Bush so he is hurting at the RB spot this week.

I may make a trade and move Lynch and Shockey for Witten and Jacobs, what do you all think about that

I have Steven Jackson, Thomas Jones, and CJ3.

Only can start two.

Not asking WDIS. Just posting for the original thread and saying I have no idea what I am going to do yet.

Depends on format, scoring, etc. But as of now, also depends on your record and your opponents record. If you can sit tight bc of a nice record, I might consider trading for Bush for his playoff schedule (if PPR). Tough to answer with a blanket comment. HTH

I'm kinda in the same boat.Last week, I played matchups and had Slaton and Brandon Jacobs in my lineup, while SJax (and his 160/3 TDs) sat on my bench. For that reason, I'm going back to the NBYS theory and putting Jackson back in, even though I'm not thrilled about the New England matchup. My gut tells me I should be going with Slaton (vs Cinn.) and TJ (vs KC).

I'm giving very serious consideration to starting him over MB3. Haven't pulled the trigger yet. But for the reasons outlined by slckrcity, I might do it before game day.

I am starting him and MB3

question for people sitting MB3 in favor of Thomas Jones....who is your RB2. I am assuming MB3 is your RB1 and Thomas Jones is your RB3. Why wouldnt you play MB3 and TJ?

CJ3 wasn't drafted to be my #2, but he has definitely earned his place there and as of right now it will be CJ3 & TJ in my lineup this week over MB3.

Gore and Barber normal starters. I traded for Barber midseason.Gore has Seattle, so he's a definite start. I actually have started him every week. Since I traded for MB3, he's also started every week. Jones has such a beautiful matchup this week and Barber's is questionable at best, that I'm considering switching that up.We'll see.

May be sitting SJax for him due to injury and facing Pats on road. In keeper also have Portis, CJ3. If only I could spread out wks like last week.

Sitting LT !! I did this once this year and got burned, but TJ's matchup is too nice!

Also, starting MBIII.

Drafted Ronnie Brown, CJ3, TJ, Jacobs and Westbrook from the 3 slot this year in my big money draft. I figured if I'm going with the risk/reward of Westbrook, I needed a lot of depth.

With being able to start 3 RBs, TJ has been in there almost every week.
