I don't see anything to lead me to believe LJ will not tear it up this year.
For the LJ detractors. Help me understand why you DON'T think he will be number 1?
My thoughts exactly. I can only assume many folks who got drilled by LJ in their playoffs last year are still a little queazy.
2 new coaches, the loss of his FB, injury concerns to the Oline or Green and inflated stats towards the end of the year due to fresh legs are all things to worry about with Johnson.
The new coach loves to run - quashedThe loss of his fullback is valid, but his one back sets he didn't exactly struggle
injury concerns are stupid, everyone has those - quashed
Just because new coach loves to run the ball does not mean he does it as well. They lost both HC and OC. Play calling will change, your being nieve if you think otherwise. How much is the real question. Its not just about injuries to LJ's Oline, this offence is getting old in a hurry and you have to also worry about them maintaining their level of play IMO ( think Oak Raiders a few years ago). You never touched his extreme and unrealistic workload during the second half of the season. No thoughts?
Unrealistic? Hmmmm, where were his injuries last year? Who's being naive now? Why don't you just predict an injury and get it over with.

So I'll mark you down for one of the people expecting LJ to touch the ball around 550 times this year.
Jurb,It just seems to me that each year there a pocket of guys who predict busts without solid reasons. I believe the motivation for this is the ...I told you so syndrome. It's like throwing a big piece of shiate against a door and hoping some of it sticks. Then saying....."I told you so".
Jurb, for the record.....I don't think you are one of these people. Your usually post quality stuff with a bit sarcasm (Just like me).
For my money...I do not see the running game changing too much in KC. That team is built around the run. LJ will carry the load, but obviously not at the 550 range. I think 330-380 carries is realistic.
LJ as of today is in the best position to be the top producing RB. While nothing is "for sure", I would have no problem taking LJ with the number one pick.
Edit..changed my carries projection.
