I don't know about any witch hunt, but Romo definitely was voodoo for fantasy owners this season.
Freak early season accident after looking really good on field into Week 2. Broken clavicle on non-throwing arm -- hey that's not bad, we said to ourselves, the injury lasts only as long as it takes for bone to heal. Romo will be back with a solid on-field attack and the best O line in the NFL, right?
We held him through these long weeks. If you were scrambling in a league like mine, you often had to settle for guys like Winston at his worst, and Kaepernick at his best.
Even those with decent backups had the hope of what Romo could be for your team when he got back. That became reality in the Miami game.
Then this.
Sure, there was always the chance an injury could reoccur. And yes, he's not being paid to play two-hand touch.
But man, this was disappointing. Cursed, even.
