Why no sig bets on the Pats/Boys game? (1 Viewer)

Maybe I just haven't been in the right threads, but I would think there would be all kinds of sig bets on this. Sure, the Cowboys are underdogs, but the Dallas fans are maniacal. They should still be offering up their sigs, car title, first born as a bet on the outcome of this game. And the Pats fans should be offering up their sigs, Red Sox season tickets, left nut as a bet on the outcome of this game.

Why no sig bets? :lmao:

Patriots aren't going to try and win.
 Ahh, but that's not all! (My best impression of a cheesy infomercial) They're going to NOT try and win.......but win! That's right, they're going to come out, play at a low level and make any needed adjustments at halftime if any need to be made. If they choose, they may score 50 in the 2nd half or score zero if they're already up 50.Order now!

Currently in Vegas most the majority of the bets have been on the Patriots....I think thats why no cowboy fans have any sig bets going.

Just because most of the money is on the Pats in Vegas doesn't mean the die hard nuts in here won't bet on the Cowboys. I'm a fan of neither franchise. In fact I can't stand most of the fans of either franchise (IWANNABEACOWBOY excluded of course) but I am amazed there is no trash talking thread and a slew of sig bets. In another thread someone called this the first Super Bowl of 2007. What gives?

*Tip*Smart money comes in at the end!
Im pretty sure the smart money last week was on Cleveland -15 1/2. Sometimes the smart money is NO MONEY. Although I think NE will win big this week, Ive got too much respect for Dallas to bet against them.

Here's 10 pages of smack that Im sure you have far too many better things to do with your life than read this junk.

"Dallas will own the Cheaters!"

Personally, Im just trying not to get too burned out on the game too early. No doubt come Sunday, there will be some significant smack being talked.

What is this? Respect for Dallas? They haven't won a SB in what? At least a decade? They don't have the most brilliant coaching mind the NFL, nay, the Universe, has ever seen - Bellicheck. They have that guy that was canned in Buffalo - Wade Phillips. They don't have 3 time SB champ Tom Brady. They have some lucky punk named Roto or something. You can't respect the Cowboys. They got lucky in the first 5 games. Sure you can do a Sig bet. Come on. Somebody start trash talking here because I'm not any good at it. Someone get this going and talk some smack about the other squad. Please don't make me turn on the Jim Rome show to get my smack talk fix. I hate that guy....

Because, no matter what happens, Dallas fans will just respond with "well yea but we won four title back in the 20s" or whatever. They never let a current event ruin the memory.

I have to leave for a few hours or I'd start working on something.

But after watching the Cleveland Browns game last week, I honostly feel New England is beatable. That game vs. Cleveland could have easily been 24-17.

I've never been good at smack because I genuinely respect my opponents too much and respect New England. But with that said, let's bring it on. I've waited 3 weeks for this game and quite frankly I'm tired of listening to how good New England is. It would be my pleasure to have the Dallas Cowboys be that team to knock them off their pedastal and not prove, but REMIND them of who the real kings of the NFL has been.

Dallas fans, please continue where I left off and will continue later in the evening.

LOL, I will admit I found this honostly funny.

Freudian slip? Or just bad gramar?

 So, you're saying that the Patriots should have still won but not by as big of a margin as they did? That makes them more beatable?

Why no sig bets? :goodposting:
Haven't seen any on the boards, I thought maybe there was a rule against them now or something. That or I'm still emptying my pockets in getting down what I can with Dallas +5.5 but my name would be found if such a thread existed.
I heard Chase Stuart is offering +9.5. PM him for details.
I saw that in another thread awhile back, I think he thought then that the game was in New England.

I'm just so hesitant to use the word ARE here but I guess if you're willing to put a Sig. Bet down you may as well talk the talk if you're going to Walk the Walk, right?

As the comedians always say, the best jokes are things that are true. ;) Instead of a sig bet, how about if the losing team's fans can't post for a month. That way the entire board wins either way. :goodposting:Edit to add: Ok, what happened to the wink smiley?

The word would actually be "have." As for a sig bet, I don't care for either team. Why in the world would I want to do a sig bet when I could care less who won? :goodposting:

*smiles*Well, that would be foiled GregR. I think we'd have a bunch of new members on the board dated 10-14-07 at 7:15 PM.I would rather have them/us wear the ball and chain on the main character. Come on GregR, you know you love us!

I have to admit, if the occassion ever arises for a sig bet, that's a good one there.

I was wondering the same thing...Patriots fans lets make it happen. Been a lurker here since 99, joined in '03 so I'm not going anywhere.

Dallas wins: Dallas is a America's Team, they've been to the most Super Bowls, Have won the most Super Bowls and have put the New England Patriots in their place.

NE wins: Dallas is a has been that flamed out in the 90's....bow down to the new dynasty...The New England Patriots

Sig bet until the playoffs

I think thats fair enough...any takers? I'll check back tonite.

That's a little more like it but fairly tame where sig bets are concerned. That and no trash talking in the mean time by any FBG's is a huge let down at this point. But at least it's a start. I could care less so I won't be participating :stirspot:

I have a sig bet with EEOMan and also avatar changed until the winner of the game loses the next game. Here is the sig I came up with WHEN the Cowboys winThe 2007 Patriots are significantly over hyped in every facet of the game. It was crazy talk to even suggest the Patriots had a shot at going undefeated. I was guilty of hyperbole when describing the Patriots during their 5-0 win streak but since going to Dallas I have learned my lesson and realize the Patriots are classless known cheaters and are quite simply not that good. A first round loss in the playoffs would be a successful season for any Pats fan. I heart Tony Romo.
