**Wildcard Sun Night Football - Washington at Tampa Bay**(-3, 51) 8:00 NBC (1 Viewer)

This could be the best game of the weekend
I don't see either defense controlling the opposite offense
So 50 1/2 on the over/under might be a bit light
Daniels and The Baker should both have nice days
Both teams can run the ball
Maybe a defensive turnover decides it?
Washington getting 3 seems about right
Should be close
But I'll go with the experience and against the rookie
And say...

Tampa Bay Bucs- 30
Washington Commanders- 27

Let me tell you how happy I am that this topic even exists.

-It's always fun to play a team you don't get real upset over if they beat you and advance
Personally I think the Playoff experience is where the Bucs are ahead and also being able to play at home
Bucs fans are looney tunes when they get jacked up for a game and this one is at night
I believe Tampa Bay already played Washington earlier this season

One of those games where what I want differs from what I expect. Tampa in a close one mainly due to their experience. But I actually want Washington to win.

I think Bakers legs are underrated. He has been scrambling for nice gains often. That McMillan kid is a baller. I like TB at home. Evans will have a hundy and a teeter. Irving with a nice day. Baker might even run one in.

Washington will need to score 5 TDs to win this game. I don’t see their defense slowing down the Bucs (although a healthy Lattimire could help contain Evans) but luckily Jayden is good enough to score 5 TDS.

Hoping Dean and Winfield Jr. can suit up in this one.

Lattimore gets in Evans’ head before the ball is even kicked off. If he’s playing it’s a huge win for Washington.

This feels like the highest scoring game of the weekend. Washington has a terrible defense, and Jayden Daniels can take over games.

I think Daniels makes his mark as a runner this week, with some big chunk gains. For Tampa, I think Baker to Evans blows up, he's usually extra motivated against Lattimore, who is likely not near 100%.

I like the step forward Washington has had, but they still feel a year away from being a real threat.

Tampa Bay-28
Washington-21

What seems likely from all that I've been reading is that in a game that's close for awhile the Bucs eventually wear down and beat the Commanders by a TD or so.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Washington lose something like 41-20.
I also would not be surprised to see Washington win this game. They've played over their heads all year and there's no reason to think they won't do that again on Sunday. Roster-wise Tampa's probably the better team. But Jayden Daniels is a better QB than Baker Mayfield going into this game.

Can't wait.

This is a game that could go either way. I don't think Washington is a great team, but Tampa Bay is just so inconsistent that you don't know which team will show up. I'm leaning TB, but it wouldn't surprise me if they laid an egg and lost to Washington.

Expecting the Commanders to unleash Daniels’ legs by design in this one. We’ll see if Bowles is ready for it.

Bucs’ defense is pretty close to full strength for the first time all year.

Beautiful day here. 50 degrees and nothing but sunshine. Wish this was in the afternoon.

Agree that this could be the most entertaining game of the weekend
AND we get to listen to Collingsworth describe it for us
Hello Mr. Mute button

Even as an Eagles fan it's hard to hate on the Commanders right now. A little luck in their record, but a lot of heart and a fantastic rookie QB. They aren't ready to go on a deep run but looking forward to having another team in division that can beat up on Dallas and NY. This could go either way but I think the late game magic runs out tonight. TB 31-27

Red Zone offense (both teams)
  • Texans-Chargers 2/5
  • Ravens 3/4 Steelers 0/0
  • Bills-Broncos 1/6
  • Eagles-Packers 2/7
Sunday RZ 3/13
Weekend RZ 8/22

rooting for offenses in the nightcap here - s/b a shootout gane

should be
