Will That Dog Hunt? 2025 Redraft & Dynasty! (3 Viewers)

Hot Sauce Guy

Footballguy
Always a fun topic - maybe a stitch early for redraft. But post up your redraft & win-now dynasty rosters, & we’ll collectively tell you if that dog will hunt or not.

Please state league size, starting roster format & basic scoring.

Please note: this is a friendly topic, so please be respectful in your responses. Most answers expected to be some variation of “will hunt” or “nope, won’t hunt.”

If you believe a roster won’t hunt, maybe explain why & suggest areas of improvement. Let’s have constructive criticism and try to help each other.

So without further ado, post up those win-now dynasty & redraft rosters! Will that dog hunt?
:pickle:

ETA: this is not “hot sauce guy rates your team”. FBG has an app for that. If you leave a team, please rate someone else’s team. Keep that karma +

Is this TEP?

Never mind, doesn’t matter - this team would be stacked in a 10-team league. Impressive roster, and absolutely will hunt.
🐶

TE is a little weak, and WR gettin a little long in the tooth, but that’s nitpicking. I’d maybe try to package Pickens + QB for a WR upgrade since it’s not SF. Or maybe Ridley+a RB or QB. You’ve got depth for days at those positions.

yeah, I'm looking to make a move for TE...usually teams that start slow will dump starter caliber players by midseason. No chance I get a top 10 WR...in this league nobody trades them. I do however think I can get a decent TE upgrade with one of my RBs or a QB.

Thanks for the comments.

Dynasty - 12 team SF, TEP, no D/ST, no K

Start 10, all TD 6 points, Int/FL -2

QB - Mayfield
SF - Purdy
RB - Gibbs, Kaleb Johnson (Stevenson, Charbs, Allen, JCM, Allgeier, Hill, Keaton, Tucker)
WR - CeeDee Lamb, AJB, DJM, DeVonta Smith, Jameson Williams (Deebo, Palmer, Marquis Brown, Calvin Austin)
TE - Jake Fergusen (Schoonmaker, Theo Johnson, Sinnott, Mason Taylor, Stover)

Recent start-up, picked from 1.11

Made a few draft day trades. Have no 1st, 3rd, or 4th next year. 2027 is intact. Looking to package some back end WR/TE for a better RB2 without much luck.

12 Team: QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/Flex/K/D

Non PPR. 6 PT Passing TDs. 3 point Bonus for 100 yards rushing and receiving, 300 Yards Passing. Bonus again at 200 rush and receiving, and 400 yards passing. Which makes yardage monsters enticing.

QB: J Burrow
WR: J Chase
WR: T Hill
RB: K Williams
RB: K Walker
TE: M Andrews
Flex: R Rice
D: Baltimore
K: J Elliott
Bench: Z Charbonette
Bench: J Croskey-Merritt
Bench: R White
Bench: N Harris
Bench: B Aiyuk

First pick grabbed Chase and WRs were flying off the board and knew QBs go early in this league and just couldn’t pass up the fun of having the Burrow/Chase stack at the turn.

12-team Start-up #2 this year:
Dynasty - 12 team SF, TEP, no D/ST, no K

Start 10, all TD 6 points, Int/FL -2
QB - Burrow (Browing, Cousins, Rush, Malik Willis - 35 roster spots, so…)
SF - Penix
RB - Jacobs, Chuba (Mason, Stevenson, Spears, Kendre Miller, Herbert, Dowdle, Keaton, Emmanuel Wilson)
WR - BTJ, Rashee Rice, Garrett Wilson,
Jameson Williams, Jayden Reed
(Palmer, TeSalaa, Wallace, Walker, Slayton, McMillan (ugh), Chism)
TE - Andrews (Likely, Theo Johnson, Kolar, Gesecki)

All draft capital secure save for a 2026 3rd and a 2026 4th (moved up a couple times)

Will hunt.

Burrow-Chase stack irrelevant outside of DFS, but will psychologically traumatize opponents severely, so there’s that.

And just for funsies, FBG Home league #4:

1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 3 FLX 1 D/ST, no K
QB - Nix
RB - Jeanty, Stevenson
WR - BTJ, MH2
FL - Worthy, Odunze, Kirk
D/ST - Vikings

I’d be worried about my RB position walking out of this draft. Personally not as high on Jeanty as many (I can be proven wrong) and Stevenson seems to be in a precarious situation to lose touches. Rest of the crew is solid.

TE - Mason Taylor - Strange - Ferguson

As the reigning champion I'm quite sure I'll hunt. But everyone else got stronger this off season and I only added Taylor. Nicely balanced league this one.

is this a 1/2/3/1, SF, 2xflex roster setup?

TE is a problem in a TEP format and RB depth is concerning. Assuming no injuries, I expect it'll hunt.

As always, thanks for posting this annual thread. I always come away with good info with an extra set of eyes on my roster builds.

This roster is better than most 12 team league champs. Hunts.

I think you're fine at TE. Between taylor, strange and ferguson, you should be able to stream TE if something happens to Kelce.

You know I hate rosters with position limits. That should have died like neon legwarmers and frilly shirts.

Anyway, stacked team even for a 10-teamer. A little worried about Hall, and CMC the ultimate boom/bust.

This of will hunt.

Concerns about RB depth behind CMC/Hendo, and you’re really going to need TMc to sign. I like Daniels & Penix as your SF duo.

Might hunt. I’d see about moving Danny Dimes + a WR or RB to upgrade depth before the 10-pennies bottom falls out.

Another team was able to keep both Jayden Daniels and Brock Bowers at solid prices from last season and wound up pretty stacked obviously. Otherwise I feel good about my chances here. Will watch my Steelers for the first couple weeks and see how Rodgers is doing, may swap for Howard at some point, or drop one of my backup TEs and pick him up sooner.

Im a tier 3 WR away from loving this team. It's super deep and I have lots of potential from the later rounds. If I could have gotten a Adams, Metcalf or Moore in the 4th, I'd be thrilled. I do like McMillan a lot, but I hate having to start 2 rookies every week.

It’s a hunting dog with a caveat: if tragedy should befall CMC, Marks/Judkins isn’t exactly inspiring confidence as bench depth. If Marks has a good season as a 3rd down/receiving back (as I really hope he does) and CMC stays vertical, this is a hunting dog. 🐶

I don’t hate it… but for dog hunting sake, I would love to see what else was available at those picks to see if I’d have gone a different direction.

I’m not that high on Drake Maye, and not knowing the draft, but eyeballing the roster I feel I could have picked up better QB value in a 6 pt passing league.

For some reason my brain comprehended “Daniels” as Daniel Jones and my mind couldn’t comprehend how you spent all your money on Nico and LaPorta.

Either way, hard for me to even understand hunting in a 16 team auction, as I’ve always played 12 team for the last 2 decades. It’s crazy to me the difference in roster buildout looking at all the teams in my league drafted last night in a 12 team.

Hunts. I think Keon Coleman ends up being that WR3 you're looking for. Also think Tet comes on later in the season and Burden is the guy to stash for 2026.

Burrow, Chase, Henry, Bowers can go a long way in this format but you are going to need a lot of luck to contend. Tua is a house of cards and don't have a viable 3rd QB. Who knows what you get from Godwin. Rhamondre might be losing his job as the year goes on. I would consider selling some players if you don't get off to a hot start.

McConkey, Hampton, then Henderson in the 4th. QB run started with Allen right before my pick, which was Hampton. Then the rest of the elites got picked. Then the elite TE’s. So I couldn’t have either. Picked Henderson then Conner and Worthy got taken on the turn and I went Egbuka (I reached) over Ridley. Who I wanted.

12 team 1QB, PPR league with 3 WR and a flex. I know this team is good but my prime season might be another year away. My team was even better heading into last season as I had Tyreek and James Cook but had the worst schedule luck and ended up selling those guys mid year as I somehow started 0-6.

QB: Hurts, Goff
RB: Gibbs, Hampton, Etienne, Judkins, Jarquez Hunter
WR: Amon Ra, Davanta Adams, Devonta Smith, DJ Moore, Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, Jayden Higgins
TE: Andrews, Likely, Fannin, Waller

I have another 15 players or so, some will get cut and likely none of them factor into this year (or any likely)

14 Team Dynasty - 0.5ppr - Start 1 QB, 6 Flex, 1 K, 1D

Daniels, Prescott
Barkley, JJacobs, JTaylor, JCM, Shipley
ARSB, Collins, McConkey, JSN, Flowers, Deebo, Lambert-Smith
McBride, Kelce, Jonnu
McLaughlin, Karty
Minnesota

Taxi: Giddens, Fannin

I know my dog will hunt. Looking to get some younger RB eventually. I have 3 - 2027 1st Round Picks.
For a 14 team league that roster is LOADED! 🔥

12 team, .5 ppr.
4 points per passing td, standard scoring otherwise.
Start 1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 flex, 1 k

QB- Jayden Daniels and Michael Penix

RB- Kyren Williams, Treveyon Henderson, James Conner, Cam Skattebo, Jacoby Croskey Merritt, Dylan Sampson

WR- Nico Collins, Courtland Sutton, Tet McMillan, Jaylen Waddle, Keon Coleman, Luther Burden

TE- Dalton Kincade

K- Evan McPherson

Im a tier 3 WR away from loving this team. It's super deep and I have lots of potential from the later rounds. If I could have gotten a Adams, Metcalf or Moore in the 4th, I'd be thrilled. I do like McMillan a lot, but I hate having to start 2 rookies every week.
Hunts. I think Keon Coleman ends up being that WR3 you're looking for. Also think Tet comes on later in the season and Burden is the guy to stash for 2026.
I appreciate the feedback.

Completed inaugural draft for startup SF dynasty with rosters 32 deep and scoring setting maxed out (PPR, Prem-TE, +6/-1 TD passes/INTs, and my favorite, point per first down!). 1-2-3-1-3Flex

Draft strategy was to maximize youth, but maybe we can catch fire early. I'm hoping.

QB

Drake Maye
Michael Penix
Jalen Milroe
Sam Howell

RB

TreVeyon Henderson
Cam Skattebo
BhayShul Tuten
Dylan Sampson
Keaton Mitchell
Chris Rodriguez
Marshawn Lloyd
Elijah Mitchell
Dameon Pierce
Dylan Laube
Nick Carter - waiver acquisition

WR - all your Bills WRs are belong to me!

Brian Thomas Jr
Tet McMillan
Emeka Egbuka
Khalil Shakir
Keon Coleman
Elijah Moore
Curtis Samuel
Malik Washington
Jahan Dotson
Isaac TeSlaa
Mitchell Tinsley - waiver acquisition

TE:

Tyler Warren
Michael Mayer
Luke Musgrave
Tyler Higbee
Cade Stover
Luke Schoonmaker

And Then
NO AND THEN, and no kickers and no defenses
This team needs 2 years IMO but could be a powerhouse when that comes. But I have to ask, who is Mitchell Tinsley?
He's a longshot WR on the Bengals depth chart, but he flashed a little last week. Slim pickings on the waiver wire when rostering 32 players.

Agree, it would be loaded even for a 12 teamer

OK... ready for some abuse, criticism, and review of my efforts ...
Took this team over in 2021 with almost ZERO capital (1.01 pick was only asset)
About 40 trades later, in this 12 Team 1 QB 0.5 ppr, TE 1.0
1/1/2/1 + 2 Flex and PK & Def; 5 pt per TD
Note: Going SF in 2026 and Roster Cut down to 25 in 1 week (need to drop 2)
Made playoffs 2024 / lost to Champ in Semi

QB: TLaw, J Love, D Maye
RB: KWIII/Charb, Kamara/Miller, AJone/JMason, RWhite, JBlue
WR: ROdunze, McLaurin, Ridley, Kupp, JReed, Shakir, JJennings
TE: DNjoku, Otton, TFerguson, NGray, MMayer

My League perspective:
* 3 QB in SF is important for future title efforts
* Depth at RB is critical if injury but 1 Top 3 RB gives advantage (Can KWIII be that for me?)
* Having multiple starting WR is key to success, flex play, bye week depth and injury concerns
* Having a decent TE is important (Top 10) but not Top 5 needed none of last 3 Crowns had Top 5 TE

My Team Perspective:
* Hoping TLaw makes a Top 7 value with new HC/OC/Weapons, expecting improvement from QB 15-18 range
*KWIII & Charbs could eat each other's fantasy value
* WR has issues but depth is good
* I need things to fall my way to have any chance at title but expectations are good run in playoffs ....
