I think you should be a little worried. Looking at the weapons Dallas has, I don’t see Dak having another season like he did in 2023. I don’t trust Adams as my 2nd WR, that just feels like a house of cards. I’m a little worried about your team.

Honestly just gut feeling more than anything. I know statistically he actually isn’t really a regression candidate or anything. Backfield is worse. Cooks is even older. I like their guards but not so sure about the rest of the OL this year. I see Dak, Lamb and not much else- just think it’s going to be a down year.

The one thing going for any skill position players in the NFC East is that this conference was BY FAR, the most points/scoring allowed in the entire NFL, and it wasn't close. These defensive teams can't catch a cold. So I do expect a lot of high scoring games.

And then said F it again and stacked him with Kelce. Completely out of my normal drafting strategy… but then again I haven’t done well in this league the last few years so decided to shake it up I guess.

Hill getting converted to QB-only makes him droppable in a 1 QB format. What a bummer.

This team is an absolute hunter. Getting a little long in the tooth in a couple spots, but I’m judging for this year. Especially in a 16 teamer, you should be the favorite. I play in 2 leagues of a similar format (though we split DL to DE/DT & DB into S/CB) and your team is just stacked compared to most of the teams in both my leagues.

(At least on the offensive side) For a 16 team league, this is about as win now of a roster as I can imagine. A line up of Mahomes, Barkley, Jacobs, Kittle Tyreek, Lamb, Evans ,Cooper is excellent. It would be in the hunt even in a 12 teamer. I don't do IDP so I can't really evaluate the defensive side.

I’d had my 1st NFFC draft 3 days before and had a time-out auto pick of Stroud/Hollywood in the 6/7 turn & by the time my connection came back 2 picks were made so too late to reverse. Not a crushing blow, but cost me needed depth at RB, and I never go QB that early.

As a direct result, I drafted this team angry. I was so mad about that 1st draft that it made me laser focused. I was a sniper in the weeds at 7, bound and determined to not let any value slip past me.

Also if RS lags in flex I have some WR depth to plug in there.

Did good waiting at QB. I could easily see Purdy and/or Lawrence as top 6 QBs this year.

Start QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/Flex/DST/K. Took Hall at 1.04, but maybe should have done Lamb as Tyreek went 3rd. In the 2nd round I felt Pacheco was the next best available player. The WRs here I felt were overvalued (Olave/Evans/etc) and I could get a comparable one in the 3rd.

You’re being way too hard on yourself. Monty / LaPorta is fine. When LaPorta helps run up the score, Monty will be there to salt it away. When LaPorta gets dragged down at the 2, Monty will be there to punch it in.

I never worry about having multiple players in a great offense. You want more pieces of that, not fewer.

it’s a crazy difficult choice. I pulled the 1.01 in my home league and took Christian McCaffrey. But I was really tempted to take lamb.

I feel like outside Lamb the cowboys O is anemic. Defenses will focus on him more. But his talent is enough to keep him in the top tier WRs no doubt. Plus since he is the only true threat Dak will have no choice but to feed him.

Hall did great things with a crap O line and QB. I expect a step forward with him this year and I told myself if get a draft position that lets me take CMC or Hall I would choose them before Hill or Lamb.

Our league does a fun in person draft order a few hours before the draft so I didn’t even know my position until 2 hours prior. CMC and Bijan went 1 2, 3rd shocked us with Hill. Hall was there so I stuck to my guns.

Yeah those were my 2 keepers. Given the value it was kind of a no brainer but I figured the way to play it was just take the leap of faith that they both deliver and build as good of a WR-QB-TE unit around them as possible. Play it like a 0 RB team but with those guys in the back pocket. But yeah I think there’s a big chance it blows up in my face too.

Yeah, mentioned this in the Draft Regrets thread: It was just one of those things where the draft broke against me in a way that was hard to see coming. I took Moore at 3.09 and was planning on taking my RB2 in the next round. But the three teams after me went QB/QB/QB and then RB/RB/RB (Mixon, Jacobs, Cook). I could have taken Walker, but I liked Metcalf better. I also thought Kamara would make it back to me and he went two picks prior. So I was left with Jones or Conner. Ultimately, I think that if (big IF) he can stay healthy he will pay off. He's making good noises about that at the moment -- Minnesota's training staff has him on a good regimen, etc. But that could play a big role in how my season goes (would also help if Javonte validated the "one year off an ACL" hypothesis).
