Will that dog hunt? 2024 Win-Now Dynasty & Redraft (1 Viewer)

14-team redraft, non-PPR, start 2RBs/3WRs. With bigger leagues it's almost impossible to nail the entire draft, but the hope is that you get the big things right.

I could have had Tyreek in the first, but given the WR talent still available in the second (especially compared to the RBs), I'm happy with my decision. Ferguson was near the bottom of my TE tier, and I basically took two lottery tickets at QB with the hope that at least one pays off. (Could have had Dak or Daniels in the 6th, but my gut was telling me to stay away from Dak, and I thought it was too early for Daniels).

Terrible WR depth after my starting three, but that part of the roster always gets churned anyway

1.(3)Bijan Robinson (Atl - RB)
2.(26)Davante Adams (LV - WR)
3.(31)Nico Collins (Hou - WR)
4.(54)Alvin Kamara (NO - RB)
5.(59)Tee Higgins (Cin - WR)
6.(82)Brian Robinson Jr. (Was - RB)
7.(87)Jake Ferguson (Dal - TE)
8.(110)Chase Brown (Cin - RB)
9.(115)Trevor Lawrence (Jax - QB)
10.(138)Justin Herbert (LAC - QB)
11.(143)Dontayvion Wicks (GB - WR)
12.(166)Philadelphia (Phi - DEF)
13.(171)Adonai Mitchell (Ind - WR)
14.(194)Matt Gay (Ind - K)

12 Teams, PPR, Start: QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/Flex/K/Def. Picking from the 6 spot

QB: Love/Herbert
RB: Rhamondre/Z Moss/Spears/Chubba/J Hill
WR: ARSB/Olave/Evans/Nabers/Shakir
TE: Kincaid/Taysom Hill
K: McPherson
Def: Cincy (streaming)

They gobbled up RB. Kamara and Walker went 3rd round, which usually would push R White down, but he went before me in the 4th. James Conner went end of the 4th. Here's hoping the receivers deliver.
Oof, that's a tough RB room. My view is that you got the right side of the Tenn backfield and the wrong side of the Cinci one, but what do I know? And Chuba's not a bad investment because he has the job for at least the first few weeks and Carolina can't possibly be as bad as last year.

WRs are really strong. I love Nabers but don't want to have to rely on him as a starter, so the fact that you got him as your WR4 is great. Hopefully he emerges quickly and you can trade for better RBs

How bad is this team? Drafting at 1.08 in a 10-teamer, start 1-2-3-1-2 flex, ppr for all. Ran into some technical difficulties and ended up getting Davante Adams and Jaylen Waddle by way of autodraft. Was not exactly thrilled about this, but I think I can adapt.

14-team redraft, 0.5 PPR, QB-premium scoring (6pt TDs, 0.25 PPC), which has the effect of making pocket passers more valuable than runners.

My biggest worry is that my RBs are fine, but I don't think there's really any league-winning upside

1.(8)Amon-Ra St. Brown (Det - WR)
2.(21)Travis Etienne Jr. (Jax - RB)
3.(36)Joe Mixon (Hou - RB)
4.(49)Trey McBride (Ari - TE)
5.(64)Tank Dell (Hou - WR)
6.(77)Keenan Allen (Chi - WR)
7.(92)Chase Brown (Cin - RB)
8.(105)Christian Watson (GB - WR)
9.(120)Tua Tagovailoa (Mia - QB)
10.(133)Zach Charbonnet (Sea - RB)
11.(148)Justin Herbert (LAC - QB)
12.(161)Khalil Herbert (Chi - RB)
13.(176)Chicago (Chi - DEF)

12 team redraft, 16 rounds. Standard yardage scoring with bonuses for longer TDs. Start: 1/1/2/1/1/1 w/ 2 flexes at any position (though QBs & RBs are capped at 2 starters). You have to draft 2 TEs, Ks, & Ds (rosters open up after week 4).

QB - Love, Stafford
RB - Henry, Harris, Zamir White
WR - AJ Brown, Higgins, Waddle, Doubs, Keon Coleman
TE - Kincaid, Schultz
K - Koo, Gay
D - Cle, Indy

My brother is my partner in this team and he drafted. I don't have the complete order. He went Brown, Henry, Love, Kincaid, Waddle, Higgins with the first 6 picks.

Wow, you're stacked at WR.
QB and TE also look very solid.
You probably know you're too thin at RB, so look to trade a wr or two if a couple of them blast hot out of the gates. With your depth I'd be prepared to trade anyone in that wr room.

I like this squad for non-PPR.

That format likely justifies RB over Hill.

Hunts.

She’ll hunt, but lack of RB depth could be your downfall. WRs are stacked even for a 10-teamer.

I love quirky rules like that. Probably helped you here since Gay reportedly has a hernia.

This is a hunting dog, but like some other teams your RBs worry me.

My very last redraft of the season, more than any year in the last decade.

NFFC ROC 12-team format 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 O-FL, 1 TK, 1 TD/ST)

Pulled the 1.02

QB - Dak,Goff
WR - Lamb, Kupp, Godwin (Shaheed, Dortch, D.Robinson)
RB - Jacobs, KWIII (Brian Robinson Jr, Dobbins, Justice Hill, Steele, Sermon)
TE - McBride (Tay.Hill)

I have concerns about your lack of RB depth. Even in a start-1 RB league, you need more than 2.

Might hunt. Need some luck with health/schedule

Just finished this draft at 1.01. 10 team, 1q,2rb,2wr,1te,1flex,k,def. Extra 3 points for over 100 rushing receiving or 300 passing, but otherwise standard ppr

Dak
Cmc, king Henry (z white c Hubbard m jordan T tracy) ((ir Brooks))
Kupp, m Evans, waddle (k Shakir r Shaheed r doubs)
Pitts
Dicker
Dallas D

League is all play and I would absolutely love to shut this commissioner up.

Hunting dog. Especially in the 1-2-2-WR-1-1 format.

A lot rides on Henry staying vertical though. Kupp-Pitts-Henry-Evans? And you still got Waddle & Pitts? Incredible. Even for 10 teams this feels stacked.

Whatcha think of my latest above?

10-team PPR, 3-pt Bonus for 100 yds rush/rec combined, 300 pass, QB-2RB-2WR-TE-2 Flex-Def-K and I had the 3-spot

QB CJ Stroud and Tua Tags...didn't really even want a 2nd QB entering Week 1
RB1 J Jacobs -they wiped out my board,
RB2 T.Pollard , Javonte.Williams, Trey Benson, Jaylen Wright, Jaleel McLaughlin
WR1 Tyreek Hill
WR2 DeVante Adams
Flex-1 Nico Collins
Flex-2 Rashee Rice/Brian Thomas
TE Njoku/Musgrave
Def-Jets, PK-Sanders

Not my best work

Ridiculous WR. That you still managed Jacobs & Stroud is impressive. Your TE are a little sad, but with Hill, Adams, Nico, Rice you have 4 weekly starters locked & loaded.

You just need to figure out who your rb2 is (probably pollard or Javonte) and you’ll be cookin.

10-teams makes it hard for me to truly judge, but I’d say it Hunts.

That'll hunt. Dak-Lamb stack will be lethal considering he's their only real playmaker. Love Mcbride, my te1.

I like Njoku maybe a little more than others but I'm glad you gave that feedback, maybe I need to start thinking about trades.
They took all the RB on the 1-2 turn and thru the middle of the 2nd, I felt like the value at that point for the Flex spots was WR so I just kept taking them
I'm hopeful Luke Musgrave emerges in Year 2, very talented deep Draft class last year, feels like a couple of them will rise up this season, Kincaid likely the biggest jump Year 2
Thanks HSG

I don’t dislike him, I just don’t think he’ll be as productive with Watson as he was with Flacco. Wouldn’t be a terrible idea to try to package Njoku + Tua to a QB-needy team for an improvement at TE & downgrade at QB2.

If that’s a realistic fit for a trade partner, I’d definitely try that. It would improve you the most/harm you the least.

Need a full year out of Henry, or we're in deep doo doo. I like White a little, though. Who knows with Harris. Until things take shape, we'll be going 2/1/3 most weeks.

I forgot to mention it's a full PPR for WR/TE, and .5 for RBs.

Just kidding - CMC, solid WRs & Murray with McB? B+ for lack of depth at RB & no backup QB, but she’ll hunt.

10 Team PPR Redraft in my biggest $ league 10 year live draft (the only league I truly care about) from the 1.

Clearly a Hunter. This team would be solid for an 8-teamer.

16 team non-PPR except TE. Start 1QB, 1-2 RB, 2-4 WR, 0-2 TE, totaling 6. Likely starters bolded

QB: Richardson, Tua, O'Connell
RB: Bijan, Rachaad White, Pollard, Lloyd
WR: Puka, Olave, Deebo, Hopkins, WIcks, Downs, Polk
TE: Kincaid/Pitts, Otton
In this format this is a serious hunting dog.

I love the twist of 0-2 TE, but they get PPR & no one else does. That’s low key genius.

Arich has great value there, as does Bijan & Deebo. I really like this squad specific to this format. Well done.

Oh I know - I was also making a funny.

10 Team SuperFlex, 5 pt passing, PPR

Auction. I spent almost everything on my top 4 guys, but still like how the rest of my budget shook out.

QB: Deshaun Watson
RB: Bijan Robinson
RB: Saquon Barkely
WR: Cedee Lamb
WR: Puka Nukua
TE: Goedert
Flex TE/WR: Curtis Samuel
Flex: Alvin Kamara
Defense: Pitt
Superflex: Stafford

Bench: J Herbert
Bench: Chase Brown
Bench: Hockenson
Bench: Gabe Davis
Bench: Tyler Allgier
I started digging through some of these responses to see if any of these dogs were hunting or what opinions have really changed since the start of the season, and it was kind of fun looking back at what we thought at the start of the season vs now as teams were being put together before a snap had been played.

This dog is HUNTING!

Through trades and free agency this team is looking strong.

I've never played in a ten-teamer, so all teams are pretty strong, but this team has scored 200 points more than the next best. Though it's still 9-3 due to balls not always bouncing my way in matchups.

Deshaun Watson is now Bo Nix off the wire
Traded for Tee Higgins early/mid-season
Picked up JSN off the wire after a slow start

Dropped Chase Brown after a slow start... OUCH.

Hard to state definitively if a team will compete without knowing what the others look like in the league, but here's my team. Entering it's first year of being competitive after two miserable but interesting seasons after I jettisoned the older guys. Maybe 40-50 trades in total to get to this point.

14 team - Standard - Start 9.

QB - Mahomes
RB - Breece Hall
RB - Jonathon Brooks
WR - Lamb
WR - Garrett Wilson
WR - MHJ
TE - Ferguson
Flx - Nabers
Flx - JSN

Bench players of any note. Deshaun Watson, Jaylen Wright, Kendre Miller, Justice Hill, Jalen Tolbert. The rest is basically dart throw RB's and a few long shot tight ends like Parkinson and Wiley. I went all in on the starting team being as good as possible.
RB2 is definitely a glaring hole here, even with your bench. Hope you made a move to figure it out.

12 team PPR dynasty, start 1 QB

QB - Herbert
RB - Breece
RB - Saquon
WR - Puca
WR - Olave
FX - J Cook
FX - Flowers
TE - Njoku
K - Myers
DEF - Seattle

Levis is my QB2 and McCarthy as a future piece, have J Williams with Estime, Irving, Mattison at RB, Mims, K Coleman, Addison, M Wilson, Flournoy at WR, Mayer and Theo Johnson at TE.
Won it last year. Been trying to change up the roster a bit via trades, but no one is responding.
Will upgrade K and Def based on matchups, no big deal.
This dog looks like it's hunting.

7-5 and 2nd place based on points for. Top 5 teams are all 7-5 and I've never been in a more competitve league.

QB Stroud (9) ---> Traded for Herbert 2 weeks ago
RB Hall (1) ----> not a bust but meh
RB Pacheco (2) ----> Picked up Hunt and has worked out great
WR DK (3) (really hoping Grubb lets this O loose) -----> Traded DK and Chubb for Lamb 4 weeks ago
WR Smith (4) ---->either gets me 20 or 0 points
TE LaPorta (5) can't believe he was here still, our league went heavy RB/WR first few rounds ----->100% biggest bust of my draft, have Henry as a backup and he's been doing solid
Flex Waddle (6) ----->2nd biggest bust of my draft, although I was forced to start him and go figure helped me win last week
DST Lions (16) Punted DST and will be streaming as I missed the top tier ones ---->now have Steelers and Bills D
K Tucker (14) ----->dropped for Seibert and never looked back

Montgomery (7) panic pick, wanted Conner but got sniped a few picks before in the 7th. I have LaPorta too and feel it was dumb to take two players on the same team. ---->pick of the draft for me
McLaurin (8) ----->traded him for London straight up after week 2, worked out for me and the owner nicely
Coleman (10) ---->dropped
Hopkins (11) ----->dropped after like a month kind of regret it after Chiefs traded for him
Allgeier (12) ----->dropped
Chubb (13) ------>see DK post
Shakir (15) ----->traded him for Downs, then traded Downs for MHJ

Goes to show how important in season managment can be.

12 team SF

Q (sf) purdy, Watson / Caleb (Darnold, lock)
R (2) Henry, Barkley, (Walker, J Wright)
W (3) G Wilson, Evans, Kupp (Lockett, DK, B Thomas, Diontae, Mims)
T Kelce / Kincaid
K Bass (Reichard)
2 flex (probably from the WR, Maybe Kincaid)
SF probably Watson or Caleb
DL (2) Garrett, Hutch (paye, Greenard)
LB (2) Roquan, Logan Wilson (Pace, Campbell, Spillane)
DB (2) D James, Battle (Bynum)
IDP flex (probably from the LB)

Pretty sure my QB2 is my weakness, at least until Caleb grows.
This dog hunted and got its bone 🏆
