My understanding is that the 6 AAA guys will be chosen among our 35 draft picks now. They will be buffers for our PA's and IP's if needed.can someone touch base on how the 6 AAA guys will work...
I just did.We should have a penalty put in place for those who do not PM the next guy in line.Anyone holler at Doug B yet?
The day after round one is completedWhen does the clock start?
Just PM me. I'll tell you if he's hurt.Gimme a minute. Just rolling in to work. There's someone who I expected to have been picked in the first five or six picks who's fallen ... researching now to make sure I didn't miss some late scoop (no, not Concussion Guy).

He may not be hurt yet. But it is only a matter of time.1 .15 ( 15 ) : C Mauer, Joe
5x5 is the industry standard now. (BA, HR, RBI, Runs, SB x Wins, Saves, ERA, WHIP, Ks)This is hard to research using traditional FBB resources. Whatever 5x5 is (I don't remember that being around in the early 90s), some guys that are rated as "great 5x5 picks" have what would be terrible WIS lines.
Same thing w/ pitchers. Three of the 5x5 categories don't translate to WIS. Well, maybe two and a half categories--strikeouts are still outs. This is hard to research using traditional FBB resources. This scared me away. There's no question Mauer is the No. 1 catcher, but he doesn't come completely worry-free. Cavernous Target Field allowed him to hit just one homer at home last year, negating any chance that he would come close to repeating his 2009 homer total.
I knew he'd never make it to me, but I was really starting to feel like I had a chance.Tim Lincecum, SP
Never felt like this in the first round before. It is going to be an interesting draft.
I will PM and email NV.
Trees are gone from the batters eye in CF...it's all good now.1 .15 ( 15 ) : C Mauer, JoeThis scared me away. There's no question Mauer is the No. 1 catcher, but he doesn't come completely worry-free. Why'd they have a Christmas tree exhibit in center to begin with?Uh... http://www.baseballprospectus.com/u/images/twin2.jpgNothing to slow the wind from blowing in now.Trees are gone from the batters eye in CF...it's all good now.1 .15 ( 15 ) : C Mauer, JoeThis scared me away. There's no question Mauer is the No. 1 catcher, but he doesn't come completely worry-free. State tree, dawg. Norway Pine. Why'd they have a Christmas tree exhibit in center to begin with?
That's the problem for me. Because he's a catcher, he'll get at least 20 games off. There's a reason why PA/162s figure so prominently in WIS salaries.I'm OK with Mauer delivering 450 AB of 2-hole-style hitting as a catcher ... don't need him to be prime Mike Piazza.

yeah, but terrible WIS lines will end up being decent in this SIM... I mean, essentially we're just re-juggling the league around, everyone should do pretty similar to how they do in real life (only on new teams)...This is hard to research using traditional FBB resources. Whatever 5x5 is (I don't remember that being around in the early 90s), some guys that are rated as "great 5x5 picks" have what would be terrible WIS lines.
I didn't mean that 2011 guys have terrible lines compared to all-time greats. I meant that there are 2011 guys who hit in the .240s last year, yet are considered 5x5 first-round studs.yeah, but terrible WIS lines will end up being decent in this SIM... You would think that...but it doesnt always work out that way.yeah, but terrible WIS lines will end up being decent in this SIM...
