Wonder Years Coming to DVD (With all original music intact)! (1 Viewer)

Great news, but wish it wasn't Time/Life doing it. Their sets are always really expensive and can only be bought as a complete series instead of as individual seasons.

I've seen every episode at least a few times, but didn't realize they had stripped a lot of the music from Netflix.

Seems preposterous to not have the music considering the era in which the show took place.

Does this mean it will be available to stream on places like Amazon?

One of my favorite shows of all time. Never bought it because the music is so key to the series.

Did anybody ever figure out why Kevin's young voice sounded absolutely nothing like his adult voice?
It's fiction.
They could have tried harder. "Let's get the Jewish guy from Baltimore to do the voice of the kid from California as an adult". Might as well get Flava Flav do the narration.
I never really noticed or cared.

I always found it more interesting that paul went on to be Marilyn manson.

The greed of the music industry knows no bounds

I heard a story that Jason Hervey accidentally high sticked Tiger Williams in a charity hockey game. williams reacted by beating the snot out of him.

It's great the show has finally come to DVD.

Still waiting on "Head Of The Class". I want to relive my crush on Simone.

You know what’s kind of a big deal? THE WONDER YEARS is finally out on DVD this week. The entire series will be released exclusively through Time-Life on Friday (available here) for $250, with 96% of its original music intact (The Doors, Neil Young and Blood, Sweat & Tears were sticklers, for some reason). All 115 episodes, on 26 discs, are stored in a collectible metal locker, with a cast reunion among the extras (wow, did Winnie Cooper grow up well). Three days earlier, however, you can pick up the six-episode first season, where the show’s greatness was already apparent. Considering the wait, this is the biggest DVD release of the year for many folks.

Winnie Cooper is one of the Today Show hosts now and she looks solid.  I'm thinking she got some slight upgrades from what I remember.   Also, she is already on her second marriage fwiw.

Plus, it gave me an excuse to bump a TU thread.

Whoa... had no idea there were finally dvd versions with most of the restored soundtrack. This is going on the Xmas list for sure.

If someone could do the same for Tour of Duty I’d be in hog heaven.
