Something is up here.
A lot to think about with salary cap and if he’s healthy enough to pass physical but for sure won’t be surprised if he’s traded in next few weeks.
Link didn't work for me.

I guess this trends with the speculation from some here that Aiyuk’s delayed recovery is due to player choice and he doesn’t want to play (for the Niners). For some reason it looks like he deleted his tweet but he was re-tweeting thisSomething is up here.

By the time I just tried to view this, it was also apparently deleted. No big deal, I have a sense of what it was.
Yeah, Niners Twitter and Reddit are now saying it’s a fake story. That said, I haven’t seen an apology from NBC Sports or Jennifer Lee Chan, and the Aiyuk article does say that he hasn’t been at practice. So, there could be some truth to what she was implying with her original Tweet. It would be consistent with Aiyuk’s past behavior.Wow, did not know that. Gist of it was this Chan lady said he had deleted all 49'er stuff from his social and had not been seen in the last two weeks.
It does not appear Brandon Aiyuk will make his return to the field for the 49ers any time soon.
The star wideout had been very visible during practice throughout training camp and early this season, running alongside his fellow receivers during the open portion of practice, with his speed and agility during those sessions giving the impression that a return from a devastating knee injury could be soon.
However, Aiyuk has not been seen on the field much in the past two weeks.
That’s a relief! He’s a bit of a diva though, so that’s why the earlier (false) report was believable.Brandon Aiyuk has been consistently at the #49ers facility — even helping coach up the WRs.
Despite a report earlier this week suggesting otherwise, John Lynch confirmed on @KNBR that Aiyuk was working out at the facility this morning.
“He’s getting closer. He is getting closer and I can see that each week. He’s better today than he was last week at this time. That’s all positive. That’s the update.”
He hasn’t really played for a year and a half. He’s going to be rusty and out of sync with whatever QB is playing. Definitely think a healthy Pearsall and Kittle will be higher priority targets. What are we saying he slots into upon return? Lowend WR2 with maybe lowend WR1 spike weeks? I have had him since draft, but kinda see the WR room as wide open still. Pearsal, Jennings injuries may have been a bit of a smoke and mirrors, but a healthy Aiyuk has got to be better than either if even they do get healthy.
He should return as the #1 target or at least 2nd behind Kittle.
I think hed be barely playable. What are we saying he slots into upon return? Lowend WR2 with maybe lowend WR1 spike weeks? I have had him since draft, but kinda see the WR room as wide open still. I am sitting him on in a few leagues, though would never have messed with him if I'd known he be out this long. What are we saying he slots into upon return? Shanahan: 49ers "pretty confident" Brandon Aiyuk (knee) will play at some point this season.
Pearsall’s knee is fuzzy and Aiyuk might play at some point.Underdog NFL

Sounds like basically saving these guys for the playoffs and hoping not to have to bring them back earlier.Pearsall’s knee is fuzzy and Aiyuk might play at some point.Underdog NFL

Well, that would be a sound strategy if a playoff spot was a sure thing, but without them, not sure my guys can score enough points to stay in the race.Sounds like basically saving these guys for the playoffs and hoping not to have to bring them back earlier.Pearsall’s knee is fuzzy and Aiyuk might play at some point.Underdog NFL

It is really strange. I would rather have him be as close to 100% as he can, but something seems fishy with this whole thing. This video was from August 17. We’re on November 8th. How is Brandon Aiyuk still not cleared 3 months later? Hmm
Should have traded him the second week of October in 2024.
Kraft injury really stinks, but great value at the time. Swift has been above expectations and Kraft has plenty of time to recover.Should have traded him the second week of October in 2024.
I traded him on 11/17/2024:
Calling my team Team A, I got:
Swift, D'Andre CHI RB
Kraft, Tucker GBP TE
I gave to Team B:
Aiyuk, Brandon SFO WR
Estime, Audric DEN RB
Year 2025 Round 3 Draft Pick from Team C - turned into 3.8, Sampson, Dylan CLE RB
Year 2026 Round 3 Draft Pick from Team A - my pick, should be late
I was feeling great about this trade until Kraft tore his ACL... but I'm still happy with it, especially since it occurred after Aiyuk's injury.

Brandon Aiyuk (knee) won't be designated to return from IR this week.
Coach Yac
Matt Barrows on Brandon Aiyuk:
“For a while there, we were seeing Brandon Aiyuk, and Brandon Aiyuk wanted to be seen. This was in training camp, and this was at the start of the season, where he would run shadow routes, while the wide receivers were going through their individual drills. The last month and a half had I haven’t seen him, had not seen him at practice, had not seen him in the locker room. I understand that he’s doing his rehab work in the morning now, and then just kind of skedaddles. So, I don’t know, nobody knows.
The agent isn’t saying anything. Aiyuk isn’t around to say anything. To me, it’s a bit odd that he’s just, you just don’t see hide nor hair of him at all, after seeing him a lot early.
And not just seeing him a lot early, but him going out of his way to make himself seen. I don’t know if there’s frustration, I don’t know what’s happening there, whether he thought he should have been activated by now, and now he’s pouting about it. I don’t know what’s happening. It is a bit odd.
We should underscore all of this by reminding everybody that he had a three ligament injury. It’s not your run of the mill ACL. A year of rehab comes with the territory. That’s not shocking, but we’re now beyond the year.”

After Brandon Aiyuk failed to attend meetings and declined to participate in 49ers team activities, sources say the team responded by voiding the guaranteed money in his contract for 2026, asserting that the absences amounted to a failure to fulfill his contractual obligations.
Aiyuk doesn’t appear to be very smart. What a bizarre dude. Giving up about $30 million next year because he’s mad…that the team gave him the contract he asked for?
Apparently the Steelers were ready to send a 2nd and 3rd for him before the Niners called the deal off at the last minute. Would have been nice to have those picks.
This may be the most asinine thing I have ever heard of regarding a contract. There is obviously something going on that we are not aware of. Hopefully BA’s mental facilities are okay.Aiyuk doesn’t appear to be very smart. What a bizarre dude. It sure seems like he didn't want to be in San Fran. He and Shanahan have never gotten along. Maybe his holdout and huge demand was an earnest attempt to get traded and then when San Fran refused and made an offer that rich, he really had no choice but to sign it. And now, despite the money, he is still unhappy in San Fran. That or he is nuts. What a bizarre dude. He had what I assume is a similar offer from the Steelers and asked to stay and not be traded so he must not have hated it that badly. It sure seems like he didn't want to be in San Fran. Ohhh good point. I thought it was San Fran who decided against trade.
