WR Emeka Egbuka, TB (1 Viewer)

Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka (hip/groin) did not practice on Thursday.

Wednesday absences often become non-issues. Thursday absences have a much worse track record. It’s possible the Buccaneers are just exercising an abundance of caution, but fantasy managers should expect to be without Egbuka in Week 3. If the talented rookie wide receiver can somehow practice in full tomorrow, he can be started as usual. If he graduates to limited participation, this could come down to being a game-time decision.

No bueno. They expected him to get in a limited practice.

Sucks, as this is/was looking like his last opportunity sans Godwin.

Is he going to be on a snap count today? Hearing mixed reports. I might pivot.
Where did you hear this?

Egbuka is expected to have his snaps monitored and potentially limited, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Pitch count probably means el bencho for me.

I don’t remember him doing much in the 2nd half of last week and I believe that was post-injury.

Add in the fact the Bucs should handle the Jets and could see them not keeping him in the game script if a comfortable lead happens.

I'm benching him for JCM (Bill) this week in the flex spot, no PPR. He is injured and the Bucs are missing 3 of 5 starting lineman. That said, I hope he still goes off.

All depends on your options. But I'm not giving up on Egbuka. Have him as WR34 right now.
I can see where your coming from.

I really feel like he’s the most upside WR on my roster this week. But: his disappearance last week in the 2nd Half; watching him get that mummy wrap on the sidelines; all week on the DNP/Limited list; then leaks about a snap count this morning, all have me spooked.

I don’t want to sit him, but I’m feeling conservative and would rather go higher floor/lower ceiling than higher ceiling/lower floor.

Same I am leaning towards Pearsall over Egbuka but Cardinals have been fairly solid allowed the 6th fewest points per target to perimeter WR. Could Egbuka get a cheap TD and perhaps Jets focus on healthy Evans?

Sitting him as well

He just hasn't had that many targets. He's been bailed out by tds but with the injury...not this week for me

Emeka Egbuka caught 6-of-8 targets for 85 yards in a Week 3 win over the Jets.

Egbuka’s biggest play was an impressive one-handed catch over Sauce Gardner for 30 yards, where he was also able to toe-tap the sideline. He almost hauled in another impressive toe-tapping catch later in the game, and continues to look really impressive in his rookie season. With Mike Evans leaving the game with an injury in the fourth quarter, Egbuka, who was already tied for the team lead in targets, could be in for an even bigger role next week against the Eagles if Evans can’t go. He would be a fringe WR1 if that came to pass.

All reports indicate he made it through the game w/o aggravating his injuries, although he did play less snaps than usual.

How could I bench my boy and start a TE in a flex spot over him.... it didn't cost me a win, but points still matter for tie breakers. Won't be making that mistake again; unless he's officially declared out, he's no longer leaving my lineups. Full steam ahead on the Buka train 🚂

Should have had more. Big catch on the sideline inside two minutes that wasn't reviewed for some inexplicable reason.

Really oddly officiated game.

He's got to be a fringe WR1 while Evans is out. I'm not sure Godwin will be himself this year or at least until late in the year.
