Well, for a little while. This was his first game as the no doubt #1 WR, with the Evans/Godwin injuries, yeah?
They seem to think it’s mild so maybe he only misses a weekSo, when are we thinking he will be back? Week 10, or week 11?
Jesse Morse, M.D.
The earliest I expect Emeka Egbuka to return is Week 10.
Wonder if the quick outs for both is they know Evans will return.Jeez, he's out, Godwin out, welcome back Mike!
Just to qualify this the Bucs have a bye week 9.Jesse Morse, M.D.

Underdog NFL
Rap: Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) not expected to play Week 7.
They don't play until Monday night so they won't have a traditional practice until today. I believe he's already been ruled out for this week? I don't think they'll push him and would expect a return for week 10 as well.Where are the Bucs beat writers at? Absolute crickets on the Tuesday MRI results.
I'm assuming we won't see him until week 10, after their bye week. But I'm kind of expecting he's locked and loaded coming out of the gates for week 10. Is that a mistake? He hasn't hit IR, so I'm thinking that no news is good news on the original prognosis(?)
Unless this was a really bad strain, I expect him back in week 10 ready to go.Where are the Bucs beat writers at? Absolute crickets on the Tuesday MRI results.

Not on MFL. It seems like they know he won't play but they haven't actually ruled him out officially.I believe he's already been ruled out for this week?

Well he is ten years youngerRappaport:
“My understanding is that it’s not quite as serious as say Mike Evans, but he is expected to miss some time,” Rapoport said. “He is expected to miss this week. Sterling Shepard is going to be even more important than he already was.”
Probably still a big ask to play this week, but maybe just misses 1 game. Be pretty great if he was playing against NO next week.
If he’s playing, I’m playing him. My alternatives are craaazy.Do we really risk him reagravating his injury in-game if he tries to play through it.
You know he has to be thinking of rookie wr records. Shocked he practiced in some form today.

Is that right, Evans and not Godwin?Bowles said four players are ruled out for Monday -- WR Mike Evans, RB Bucky Irving, G Luke Haggard, RB Josh Williams. Practice squad G Mike Jordan has made progress and is in play to be elevated and play vs. Lions.
Bucs coach Todd Bowles said WR Emeka Egbuka was limited with a hamstring injury but practiced Saturday. He said Egbuka is a game time decision.
Greg Auman, who actually tweeted this has already posted it was a typo. No. That blurb is incorrect. Godwin is out. Great if he plays but terrible if he aggravates it and knocks himself out a month.
Being on Monday is rough for fantasy though with 2 games a little helpful and pending league format you could probably back him up with a Johnson or Shepard possibly.
Problem for me is in 1 league I already have Harrison on the bench and Egbuka on bench and would need to take out Worthy or Diggs with the backup plan being Chubb.

I actually have to wait for Yahoo to declare Bowers out to put him on IR to PU Jamo as a hedge for either Evans or Ebuka. If both Tampa WRs are active it will be a MNF coin flip.Him or Jame-O on Monday. Nice problem to have. Hope he sits.
Just my uneducated and humble opinion, but I think he is a decoy up until game time. Then he is inactive. This is the way.Friggin decoy?
Counterpoint, what if he just really did suffer as minor a hamstring injury as you can? Like, if he's healthy, why sit him?It would be monumentally stupid if the Bucs start him. They're 5-1, can beat the Saints without him, then they're on bye. I'm not holding out for him and I hope cooler heads prevail in Tampa.
Then you're ultra conservative and probably no worse than 6-2 anyway with a definitely healthy Egbuka instead of a marginally greater chance of being 7-1 and risking the health of your new #1 wr that would actually impact the rest of your season.Counterpoint, what if he just really did suffer as minor a hamstring injury as you can? This is a potential tie breaker in the NFC.
